Hello Mam :) Thank you for your comment. Sorry, I cannot compare the workload because I didn’t have any hospital experience back home. But, I can describe my ward routine. Usually, I am handling 5-8 patients and I need to give total care (washing, giving medication, charting notes, elimination, turnarounds). You will also have Health Care Assistant to help you. Hello po. In my Trust, the UHS, we follow the 37.5 hours per week or 150 hours a month. Also, for Long Day shifts which 12 hours, it is only 2 consecutive LDs then OFF, then LD again. I seldom encounter 3 consecutive LDs except if you request to be that way for instance, you will have a vacation on the later days of the week. And if you want to do bank shift or extra/overtime shifts, its all up to you po. Hope I answered your question. God bless po.
