I'm so happy I moved to Britain to experience this. If you have never lived in a corrupt post-Soviet country you can never appreciate the western democracy

Things like this are important, Ukraine is asking for support and Zelenskyy has been almost non stop calling various governments and NGOs via video conference asking for aid and support, but to have world leaders actually visit Kyiv and reiterate their support face to face I think is a big morale boost for Ukrainians.

Whether it was a "surprise" or not he was there...I can't say the same about the "leader of the free world"....That isn't a Trump or Biden thing...That is an American expressing that. I don't know the rules in the US but in the UK our Head of State is the Queen and our Prime Minister (Johnson) is her servant. As I understand it, your American presidents are simultaneously Head of State AND elected official. It's all very well for Johnson to go play in a war zone, if he's shot in the head it's rather sad but our Head of State is still safe. Our Head of State hasn't been allowed in war zones since the Renaissance because if something happens to the Queen, she represents us so it happens to us. If something happens to Johnson, he's a public servant. Britain loves to take the piss out of our prime ministers/public servants. But there's some hesitation to mock our monarch/head of state. If your President is head of state, it sounds a bit crazy to allow him to walk around a war zone. Respect to Johnson that he's willing but no one but his wife is going to try to convince him not to go.

I'm also an American and though I absolutely ❤ PM Boris Johnson and EU Ursula von der Leyen visiting Kiev as an act of solidarity and morale booster with Ukraine, I don't need to see President Biden doing the same thing. I'd rather have the $2M it'll cost of my tax $ going towards actually helping Ukrainians than going towards gasoline and staff for Air Force One, public as well as private security detals, hotels, etc., to visit Kyiv for a few hours, especially when he's just been to Poland recently. Ukraine is important but so is our domestic agenda!

Putin could end this toimorrow if he does exactly what Ukraine wants. All he has to do is withdraw ALL Russian forces, and repatriate ALL of the ethnic Russians who don't want freedom to do as they see fit! Please help Ukraine & d foreign volunteers from different countries to end this war immediately and get back all the land and territories of Ukraine from Russia.
