Thank you for your reaction Uncle, I really enjoy your positive feedback and I'm really glad you understand Subcarpati, their project really spoke what many Romanians felt in their hearts and needed to express. They also inspired others, for example: Click x Gavrila - O poveste romaneasca Some unrelated recommendations would be: Danaga & Surorile Osoianu - Trece-un Nouras or a Romanian DOC | URBANIST SESSIONS (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9RMjo51fEp8.html)
Love your energy, man! Great reaction. Subcarpati rock! If you're interested in something that is in a way similar but still very different from the Balkans, you can try to react to "DJ 89 & Boryana Vasileva - ЯНА | lYlANA [FUTURE FOLK] | BRATЯТА". They're a Bulgarian group, very interesting. It's also a modern take on old folk songs (this is the part that's similar), but the style is very different.
The translation of the title of the song is sort of accurate, but a better translation that carries over the poetic aspects would be "Until I won't perish".
I dont think the literal translation is accurate here Marius. The thing is, in Ardeal this negation, in this particular situation, does not really mean a negative. I will give you an example: "Spală-te pe mâini până nu termin de gătit" is something used in Ardeal and it would translete to "Wash your hands until I finish cooking". I think a better translation would be "Until I perish" or maybe "Until I wont perish" if you really want to bring in the negation over.
