To me, this is what biking is all about. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your trip. Your editing was brilliant but I must also mention your choice of music to accompany... absolutely spot on and it really makes for an enjoyable watch. Thank you and well done 👍
My mother is a Scot, brought up in Glasgow but her father hails from Aberdeen, never been there, she moved to England in her teens then met my dad, the rest is history as they say. Loved your brothers old BSA, my first bike while in college a 125 BSA, but short lived as I rode it home during holidays and my mum told my father to give me enough money to buy four wheels, she probably saved my life. So my return to biking at 70 is a long held dream. Loved your video, keep em coming, your very professional.
This is so nice movie you made. I am from Germany Bavaria and i was with my Mototbike in 1987 in Scotland. I never forget this wonderful Journey. Thanks a lot for. I remeber so many nice Impressions. I love Scotland. Lovley Greetings from Bavaria.
Wonderful country. I've been there in june this year but at the west coast mostly. Thanks for taking me along. And by the way. I love tradional scottish breakfast. Great
Good day to you! I am a HONDA Cross Cub senior rider from Japan. Enjoying camping and touring and upload video. This is so nice adventure video! Awesome! Have a nice day my friend!
Good video ! Scotland is addictively beautiful. Just been there, going back next year. You don’t need a GS to have fun on a motorbike, as you show. Looking forward to the next episode.
One of the best Fish and Chip shops in Britain is in Arbroath harbour . Visited many times parked by the sea wall. Loved the video keep up the good work !!!
BSA Bantam, My dad had one in the shed, i used to ride it up and down the road. Don't tell him. The old Brit bike definitely a knack is required to start them. Great video content.
Hello something tells you're not in the morning😀 very nice vidéo with beautiful machines and a wonderful landscape, all with humor and adequate music...and all this with a beer full of foam😀✌️🇨🇵
It's years since I rode a bike around Scotland. Thanks for reminding me of what I miss. That throttle lock is a good gadget and I shall check it out. Stay safe.
Hello from the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada. I just discovered your channel so I'm binge watching to catch up. I watch many motorcycle touring channels and I enjoy yours equally. I'm an avid biker of many years and still enjoy adventure touring. I'm really impressed with your courage as a new biker, and I love your presentation, camera work and your choice of music. Ride on and keep the rubber side down.
Greetings from down under. Wow, motorbikes, great roads, breathtaking scenery. You,ve taken me to my happy place. The last piece of aerial footage brought me to tears...literally. Thankyou.
The Tay Road Bridge, straight into my home town. That big hill you see ahead is The Law, an extinct volcano. Fantastic view from the top. Lovely video btw!
Firstly l’d like to thank you for your day to day job. I’ve been following you on your journey so far and didn’t realise the enormity of it till recently, l’ve been riding since l was 17 but never abroad till last weekend a trip to Paris France via Newhaven - Dieppe ferry, arriving 9:30 + one hour France time so 10:30 in the evening then a 3 hour journey in the dark pouring with rain and driving on the wrong side of the road! An interesting journey to say the least, so l can now realise your feelings on your journey. Well done you.
Thank you Gary. Maybe my day job is what makes me more resilient to all sorts of inclement weather, stressful situations and overcoming challenges, who knows! There will be more to come on my channel that's for sure. 😊
"Very pretty" ...Burn's monument,Mauchline (after poet,Rabbie Burns, who's grandfather is one on my ancestors)... Aunt's house on the left, cousin Raymond's on the right there too :) Your editing is jumping around... P.S; I know a guy who has a Don motorcycle, 1 of 2 manufactured in Aberdeen... named after the river in town! One for your brother!
Glad you had a better moral, and the vieuws are just great Starting an AJS is a hell of a job, we are not used to that anymore, now you push a button and it starts
Well done Charlie! You reached your goal…. Great riding and determination to keep going. I’m sure you have inspired many riders to take the leap and do some touring. Just brilliant!
Great Video Charlie! Great scenery and fantastic biking roads. You clearly show that riding is not just about speed. I love the 350 meteor , it just looks superb… take care and stay safe !
Congratulations on getting to Aberdeen great footage of the bridges and riding in Scotland with your brother on his lovely AJS not that the mighty Meteor isn't lovely , It's a great feeling to accomplish a big trip on a bike I think you have put together a very watchable and enjoyable video well done Charlie 😁x
I think your videos are brilliant.. I would love to do something like this on my meteor but I'm nearly 55 and I ache for days after around 30 miles. Keep up the great work, you are brilliant 😀
Gradually increase the length of your rides and try to ride as often as possible. Find a local bike meet and ride to it, they're usually midweek, Wednesday or Thursday, you'll soon get to hear about planned rideouts and you can just tag along. If you only ride on a Sunday 30 miles will probably seem like a long ride but if you can get out 2 or 3 times a week your body will soon get used to it and before you know it a 300 mile run will be a piece of cake!
@@tamar5261 I know how you feel, I spent the best part of 30 years working away from home, there were times when I forgot what a bike looked like, take it from an old hand (57 lol) you need to make time for yourself or one day soon your bike will be on eBay and you'll wonder why you bought it in the first place.
Hi Tamar, I do appreciate that is a nightmare for you. When you get tired of the 30 miles around you, maybe trailer the bike somewhere and explore other areas? 😊
Fantastic!! I've only just got around to watching this series after looking forward to it for ages. I'm always late to the party!! 🤣 I'm glad you liked the Tay Bridge and the A92 coast road. I'll need to have another run up there before the weather turns totally shit. Your brother took you in some fantastic roads as well. The road from Balmoral up to Glenshee is amazing (drone footage). I've never yet seen a speed camera when I've been along there. 😁👍 Anyway, it looks like you had a great time 👍
I watched all your videos back tl back. What a lovely adventure and a super choice of bike too... I hope you do more trips and videos, you have made exactly the right life choices... Good on yer 👍😁
@@restdayrider can't wait to see your film of that one. Your filming was fantastic and really really relaxing and inspiring... What a genuinely nice person you are 👍😊
Hi! I've watched your videos and you really got steel balls! I do ride since I was 14 (now 36) and I moved to Spain with my Meteor, I thought I'd use the summer to make motovlogs around Spain but workload was so huge that I lost motivation to ride even in weekends. You are an example to all of us. This weekend I'll might give it a try. Thank you! Keep it up!
Can't remember you packing a drone on the bike I couldn't have been paying attention 🤔 like the video's, hat off to you if you've only been riding 6 months! I've never got to Scotland as yet but one day?👍
Lovely once again. Thank you for the trip and especially the tour. My family originated from Scotland and Ireland (both sides), Gilroy and Elliott. You sure have whetted my appetite for wanting to get over there. Reaffirms my addition to the bucket list.
Brilliant vlog again. Nice to see you riding out with your brother. His AJS was running brilliantly. Last one I followed was burning quite a bit of oil. Gorgeous scenery around the Balmoral estate to the Cairngorms.
How great that must feel, not only looking at amazing scenery but being able to do it with your brother, looking at his driveway you'd never have guessed he owned old British bikes 😂😂😂👍
Nice to see , Stonehaven only a stone’s throw away from me. As you left Montrose you must have gone inland, to Laurencekirk. Should of kept on the coast road. Glad you had fun, and weather decent, while out n about up here. Look forward to next video.
Congratulations Charlie on your successful trip. Great achievement and beautiful scenery in Scotland. On my bucket and still hoping to get there as my family roots are in Scotland. And a very impressive collection of classic bikes of your brother. I’ll drink a toast to you on reaching your goal.🎉👍. Cheers and stay safe, Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Hey Charlie, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I had a bit of a sharp intake of breath moment tho when that white car looked like it was going to pull out in front of you!! Looks like you were having a great time, I’d love to see Balmoral. Your brothers bikes look absolutely amazing!! Thanks for sharing this with us all.
The best view in the world coming home over the Tay Road Bridge and seeing The Law even more spectacular at night. An ex Dundonian now living in the Lake District.
well done on getting to your brothers home (nice bike collection) looked like some amazing countryside riding and that must have been a great buzz to be out on the bikes with your brother really enjoyed the video
Great video, it's a pleasure to see you having an adventure and making a few mistakes like the rest of us🤣 Never be afraid to stop and take shelter. A warm dry hotel room is paradise at the end of a long wet ride! I am sure someone has already suggested this but, but get yourself Pinlock visor insert. It will stop you misting up in the rain and is a lifesaver. Looking forward to the rest of your trip and many more to come😍
Brill video really enjoyed watching your progress from england all the way to scotland. your first bridge you went under looked like the castlecary viaduct and your second bridge was the larbert viaduct which aint far from me. Looking forward to your return trip video. Well done you.
When I seen previously you were passing by Dumfries, where there's an awesome little Royal Enfield dealer, which is the reason I discovered your channel Charlie, as my mate Lochwood92 seen a recent vid of mine when I popped in for a look at the RE's & then he told me to check you out! 😎👍
