One of the largest student encampments in solidarity with Gaza in the UK is at The University of Manchester. After three occupations didn't achieve talks with the management, the students decided to escalate to an encampment in solidarity with American students.
Their demands are: divestment from BAE systems, cut ties with Israeli universities, to adopt an ethical research policy and not to victimise any students or staff involved in the action.
Pop in and see them anytime to show your support - they're at Brunswick Park on the Oxford Road.

If you think you are in the right, why hide your face and voice.

You obviously don't bother reading the comments to see that we've answered that point already.

I have read all the comments, and can't find one that justifies his inability to truly stand by his cause. By hiding his face and disguising his voice he demonstrates two things 1. That his commitment and passion for his cause is not 100%. If you are not willing to stand and be identified and associated openly with your cause and activism, then in all honesty you are just a fair weather activist, discarding causes like soiled tissues when the cause is no longer centre stage. 2. That you are fully aware your activities may be unlawful or potentially unlawful. Again this would call into question your commitment to your cause, a true activist is willing to sacrifice everything to promote their cause.

@@kodi1969 ok I'll repeat our comment seeing as you can't find it. People are being blacklisted, expelled, losing their jobs, being suspended from universities and other institutions at the moment simply for speaking out over the slaughter of thousands of innocent people - particularly children. Despite doing absolutely nothing unlawful. It is a perfectly sensible precaution to hide your identity, which we are more than happy to help with in the editing of the video.

@@ReelNews again your comment demonstrates lack of commitment from these so called activists, if you can't stand by your cause openly, then go home and stick to writing to the newspapers. Your excuse that 'some' face repercussions for their actions would imply that there is not universal support for these type of actions and/or the actions are not within the spirit of the law, losing a job for political belief is not grounds for dismissal, losing your job for gaining a criminal record could be in certain circumstances, e.g. violence, criminal damage, assault to name but a few.

A genocide taking place in front of all of our eyes is all of our business. If you don't think it's yours than you really have lost your moral compass. Why do you think that has happened?
