I am Swiss and I love watching videos about my home country from the perspective of foreigners, especially bike videos 😊 , it really makes me appreciate my home even more. Very nice video, I am happy that you enjoyed this trip, ride safe!
Hey 👋 you are a lucky person to live somewhere so beautiful! It was my first visit to Switzerland 🇨🇭and it definitely won’t be my last.. we had a lovely time .. thank you for looking after it so well
First time to see your channel and very impressed by the quality of filming and with the beautiful flat6 soundtrack. I remember standing nearly underneath the falls in Lauterbrunnen 30 years ago plus a couple of months with my late Girlfriend and it brought back very happy memories. I have been going to Switzerland for 40 years and I still go to stay with friends a couple of times a year and I never get tired of it whether by bike, car or fly into Zurich. It's a wonderful place so enjoy seeking out the best parts.
Hey Richard! Yes it’s a magical place , that was my first time and it definitely won’t be my last .. you have some amazing memories and I’m so happy it brought some back to you !! Here’s to more memories Richard.. all the best
Really nice video. As a fellow Goldwinger (a black one too) I found it great to see Switzerland in all it’s glory. Not somewhere I’ve visited that often but after watching your video who knows. Ride safe.
Thank you 🤩 it was one of the nicest places I’ve visited! So much to do and places to ride all close by, I wish I had spent more time there to be honest .. hopefully I will revisit myself.. all the best
I come over from Australia every couple of years, Store my bike in Ireland. Can't get enough of riding through the Alps. Austria and northern Italy are wonderful as well
I think he was referring to your Mrs mate, totally agree with him tho shes lovely. And to be honest really enjoyed the video a great insight I'm definitely going ride safe ❤
Nice Video, well done. We took our 2002 Goldwing from Bilbao to Puglia and back to U.K. we over did the miles in that super hot weather. My only beef with the GL 1800 is the lack of luggage for 3 weeks away, so we pulled a mono wheel trailer- which handled great but limited motorway progress. This was partly the mway speed limit which, we carefully ignored (potentially at cost 😬) but also because the trailer weaved just 65- 70 mph. You have to hand it to Honda. It’s a great machine.
Great video ! This area will be on our list during end of May to mid June...also by motorbike ( HD). Yes my friend has a Gold Wing. It is a very comfortable and reliable bike ( couch) to travel with.. however the real motorcycle rumble I like more.. Cheers from Tim
What a fabulous video, loved the magnificent scenery, would love to do that ride but I'll just have to stick with New Zealand for now, maybe I could update my Goldwing
I will agree with you 👍 it made light work of it all , couldn’t of asked more from a bike to tour so many miles , I got off in Switzerland and went straight out for a walk feeling good considering
great destination...your efforts driving and taped filming and sharing...show your effort and care...after years you Capital Gains will be the images of nature , people and values that forms IMAGES...from Argentina the Best for you both enjoying together the life and the immensità...😊😊😊😊.
That’s the village of Lauterbrunnen . Arguably one of the prettiest villages in Switzerland 🇨🇭 it’s a lovely place and if you have the opportunity you should definitely visit
Thank you, I found some more videos on it now as well :) Wow , stunning and So majestic. I hope to see this Someday. Thank you and loved the video. I ride touring Harley Ultra classic
Great to see a Goldwing video from the UK specifically touring with a pillion. Out of interest, do you use the bike quite a bit in the UK as well? How is it in our small B roads for instance? I currently own a GS and I am seriously considering getting a Goldwing for its outstanding pillion comfort and touring ability of course. I also feel that the Goldwing has excellent weather protection and therefore usable over most of our winter months as well.
Hey!! I mainly use it in the uk and it’s been a great bike for city, B roads and anything you throw at it !! I came from a big adventure bike myself.. one of the reasons I got it was for touring and pillion comfort and it’s second to none!! It’s one of the easy bikes to get along with regales of its weight.. I ride around with a wide collective of motorcycles and it fits right in .. I have no complaints about the goldwing! It will do what you want it to and for a long time 👍👍
@@mrts.bike.adventures Many thanks for the response. I am going to test ride one this weekend. Most Goldwing videos on youtube are from the US where they have much wider roads. I quite like the fact that you're actually having fun on your Wing in the UK. Also similar to a GS this is an "opposing"/boxer layout which gives me some confidence that it won't be top heavy at all. Is yours the DCT + Airbag version which is the top spec one I think?
@@mrts.bike.adventuresThe reverse gear is definitely a game changer, I agree. I have owned a Honda Blackbird and ZZR-1400 in the past and trying to move the damn thing backwards even on the gentlest of incline was a total pain. Any bike over 250 kilos needs to have some sort of creep/assist feature in my view 🙂.
Hang in there as I believe there will be an updated goldwing in 2024 or you could get a nice deal on the current model.. I do change my bikes every couple of years and this is the best
Hi paul Thks for sharing. What time of the year did you do this and did you find it was ok relative busyness, crowds, busy roads and traffic jams? Thks
It was the start of August when we went and surprisingly the traffic to the ferry and all across France and Switzerland wasn’t bad at all , in fact there was no traffic jams at all .. the place in Switzerland where we stopped wasn’t that busy ether considering time of year and the popularity of the place .. once you’re outside the uk it’s a breeze ..there infrastructure is miles ahead of the U.K.’s
Wow what a great trip. Very nice job on making the video. Would love to be able to come over and do that on my wing, just have to win the lottery first! What time of year was that as the weather looked perfect?
Hey Larry , it was last month and the weather was perfect luckily! Good luck with the lottery, I’ll have my fingers crossed for you and thank you for the compliment, I do try but far from perfect but are great memories 👍👍👍
Yes that information would be good but editing the videos to make it more informative to everyone would take even more time , I’m not very good at editing as it is and these videos are for my own memory’s that I’ve decided to share.. if anyone wants anymore information on where I stopped and rand places where we eat out they only need to ask 👍👍
So you expected boobs ? There No boobs just my girlfriend with a stunning backdrop of where we went . and I don’t care who watches it or not ! These videos are mine and my memories.. I suggest you go to a website especially for boobs that’s what you’re into 👍👍👍👍
Just did the same with 3 friends on Vespa GTS300’s, rode to Interlaken for the Vespa World Day in June this year, including 5 passes etc. 5 countries in 10 days, fantastic. You don’t need a Goldwing to go touring though any bike (including a GW!) are fantastic!
Yea I watched the Vespa world day ,uk to Switzerland etc on RU-vid and you’re very right it doesn’t matter what you ride big or small.. I do draw the like on push bikes though ! 🤣
I live in the U.S., but I've been to Europe several times. However, I have yet to make it to Switzerland. It is number one on my list to visit and ride there. My mom was born and raised in Germany, so I'd be starting there. Most of my relatives all live in Germany or Switzerland. Those switchbacks look like so much fun!! If I never make it over there to ride, at least I have the joy of watching your journey shared here on RU-vid. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us!! Ride safe, and ride well!
How interesting! You must find the time to see the amazing roads and landscape, I dreamt of doing it for years . Thank you for your kind words. The video isn’t a masterpiece but it’s a memory I will cherish forever ..
Very nice tour and I really like your driving style. Most of the foreign people are not used to the mountain roads and have difficulties controlling their bike and staying on their side of the road! Great job - thank you and lots of pleasant rides
Thank you 😊 the roads are so much better than ours in the uk ! It was a delight, it’s always hard getting your head around driving on the other side to what you’re used to but I did ok thank you .. all the best my friend
Great video. As a fellow "Goldwinger", I especially liked seeing how the bike coped in the mountains. By the way, you do know that you're "punching way above your weight", don't you?
Complimenti bel giro .... appena tornato dal " MAROCCO " ... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zAtjZH0vwmY.html .. ciao sono Roby da Gaeta - ITALIA
Thanks mate !! It was amazing and as you no yourself the pictures never do Switzerland justice! It was nice just to do as we pleased , bit of riding and some chilling!! All your tips and your experience were invaluable and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated you sharing with me 👍the little loop around the passes were the highlight 😊 hope you’re having a fantastic week
Love to drive the 1800 DCT. i"de been in Scotland and Cornwall already. Next Year i would like to drive to Wales. Lovely greetings from Germany!g If you ever come to north Bavaria i invite you to a dinner!
i am Portuguese I fell the same way when people visit Portugal, one day I like to go arround Europe In a motociclo Like to be Golwing we never know, maybe RV and Golwing hanging in case if raining we are protected.Maybe in 2026.
Stunning just Beautiful. I'm in the US and a Trucker for 48 years I have never seen such a beautiful area. A great Couple and a Gold Wing to. I to have a GL 1800 and I love it. Good Luck to you and you just got another subscriber Thanks.
Thank you ☺️ 48 years of trucking!! I bet you’ve seen some things .. I’ve never been to the US but I am coming over in a couple of months.. you enjoy that goldwing of yours .. all the best Dave 👍
You guys need to do "pieces to the camera". Talk about your experiences, let your viewers feel like they're taking part in your adventures. The captions just don't do it. Meant well 🤘
Well done, the angles, the peaceful music accentuates the scenery and the lack of lots of babbling for me made this enjoyable and informative, its now on the bucket list. The "narration" and unique stops even with the cows in the field and meals gave such a thorough perspective of the trip. Was also pleasantly surprised with the drone footage of the pass "in all its glory" !
Thank you , I don’t think it’s possible to do a bad video of Switzerland, it’s a beautiful place to visit!! I really hope you find the time to visit.. all the best
What? How do YOU assure ME it wasn't boring? One mono view from one camera stuck to you chin, that begs for a case of vertigo. Bad elevator music. One main street after another. And I guess unless you get a good review then all others should just keep their opinions to themselves. Proof that just because you can make a video, doesn't mean you know how to make a video. And I assure you that is my opinion if if you will allow it. The Cry Baby face was very Mature also.
Oh Rick I think you are mistaken me for someone that can professionally put a video together, you are 100% right that the video is at best poorly edited etc but this is the best I can do and I have put that these videos are my memories and I took the decision to share them A- so I can show my friends B- there might be something that might help someone .C for my own entertainment . so yes it might be boring to you admittedly so I can only apologise that RU-vid subjected you to it but I can’t do mush other than that, and that’s why the negativity isn’t any help unless you’re going to come round and help me the next time I decide to do a video 👍
Votre vidéo est vivifiante. On a l'impression de voyager en votre compagnie. Et pour un motocycliste, ces images à partir de la Goldwing sont fantastiques ! Merci !
Wonderful video. The only bike I would do the same thing....period and end of story. Not HD, not BMW....Goldwing to the core. The bike for the etire planet. Just remeber to change the oil 😁😁😁. I love your riding style.
Switzerland was epic . Hahahah I’m not hard core like you !! I need a windscreen 🤣 I’ve barely got any hair lift as it is ! Don’t think I would have ever made it there without a satnav or though I do like your winging it attitude without a satnav ..
@mrts.bike.adventures Yeh. I'm not even mentioning the fact that you've probably got a heated seat and grips 😂. I'm not bitter. I'll go there one day but probably a Road Glide.
🤣 alright it’s almost cheating I know !! It doesn’t have the theatre or character as your HD .. love the big V twin .. you’ve done well bring it back to life and enjoying it as you have been !!
@mrts.bike.adventures Defo not cheating being warm and comfortable. Think I might just have a screw loose 😅. I do love the character but you do pay for it. Go safe.
I wouldn’t dream of leaving my bike outside where I live , even the insurance won’t cover us motorcyclists if we park outside are homes and not in the garage .. thank for watching 👍👍👍
I was there at the start of August for the first time , seen it so many times on RU-vid and thought how amazing it was .. and it definitely lived up to the hype! Definitely want to revisit at some point .. I haven’t got quite so far to travel as you though 🤣
Well done friends. This is a beautiful video of what seems like a great vacation. I love my Goldwing just as much as you do yours. Please post more. Be safe.
