Yes to UK but not really when compared to Canada. When compared to Canada it depends on your life stage, location in Canada and profession/income/earning potential. Child care cost me $2K per month even subsidy/salary exchange, un UK £1800 and in Canada $500 and less in some provinces. Child care in Australia currently in Melbourne is mostly $130-160/day. Houses is Canada are more generally aesthetically pleasing, larger and good investment. You can always rent out your basement to help pay mortgage. 3 bed detached house in Canada is equivalent to 4-5 bed in Australia. Of course UK houses are nothing close to Australia’s. Salaries higher in AU, car insurance lower in AU, groceries generally even out IMO, site attractions more in Canada. British Columbia is one of the most or the most beautiful place on earth, especially Vancouver Island. Both AU and CA have outdoor barbecue culture but one in summer and the other in winter, UK have more of a drinking culture. Lots of natural disasters in Australia major population hotspot (eastern side including Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne) with frequent terrifying bushfires, flood, cyclone, hail, drought which is not the case in Ontario not the UK. Do not under estimate Australia’s bushfire, witnessing one will scare you for life. Australia has the most flammable vegetation on earth (gum trees with paper barks)…The list/comparison goes on… cheers.

@matthewadeleye5887 I lived in Ontario Kitchener and was doing disability jobs and working overtime but at the end of the day ,how much money hits your bank account. I did same job in Australia though doing my BSN and working part time ,in fortnight, my net worth averaging a minimum of $3500 to $5000 yes you heard me right that's the money that enters my account every two weeks. Whereas in Canada that is what most people make as their monthly income which is not enough to own property. If you live and work in Australia, you can own as many property in Canada as you want while your colleagues who lives and works in Canada struggles. The money you make in Canada , the government takes it all. Here in healthcare, there is salary sacrifice which boost your home take income, there is superannuation and other benefits . I don't know if you are aware there is bush fire in Canada too ,Grande paire Alberta. It depends on where you live. Flooding depends on where you live, too. And there places you will never experience any of that.

If you earn $140k/year above in Canada is enjoyable even if you have to pay child care, but in Australia a significant chunk goes to child care. I used to live on Vancouver Island, then Canberra and now UK, as an expat. Wildfire is more prominent in coastal BC the prairie fire in Alberta is compared to Australia’s NT, which is minor to the fire of southeast Australia. Do you know that you can still buy a house of $300, 400k in Saskatchewan main cities, you can’t get that in the most remote city in Australia, Hobart. Of course Australia pay care workers more and healthcare workers in general of which you need to opt for casual role (not full time) to earn high as a care worker so you pick long shifts, including weekends. If you earn $150k as a tech person or Professor in Canada you won’t necessarily earn higher in AU except you are a target hire.

@matthewadeleye5887 Mathew if you earn $140k in Canada, how much hits your account, be sincere to yourself. How many earns that and what is their take home salary. If you earn such you will definitely have up to $70,000 in taxes by the end of the year and might end up paying additional taxes . Just be honest to yourself and am saying this to help people make informed decisions. Most executive positions in Canada, sadly to be honest, earn less by the end of the day. Canada is structured in such a way that everyone is equal by the end of the day except some exceptionally professionals like doctors.

Which state? im in Perth Western Australia and our min day time temp is around 10c, with nights dropping to 4c. Norther Western Australia never gets below 25c, with all places in-between, having varied temperatures. Each of our states are huge, so have many variants in each one. Does Australia has more tax burden than the UK??

Like Roslyn said, it depends on the location as Australia is very big. Here in nsw I’ve heard it can go as low as 1 degree but that has been a very long time and it doesn’t last for day. It’s usually hot/warm all year round.
