By the way, there are pathways to medical practice in Canada without having to write exams. I came here directly from Nigeria, and I didn't have to write any exams, not even IELTS. To be unambiguous, I am currently licensed by the CPSO, and practicing in Toronto.
That's amazing! This is new to Me. You didn't do a single thing at all? How so? Is there something to bridge that? Even pharmacist write exams! Out of curiosity, doesn't the requirement to get licenced by cpso requires a thing or two. Trainings etc, you must also have gone through the evaluation process with mcc. Except you did your medical college in canada or say US. I'd like to be enlightened.
In my opinion, if not just because of long time waiting for ILR and housing issues in UK, I will always prefer UK to Canada. Canada will give you easy PR but even with the PR, it will still take many years to achieve your dream in your profession. UK ILR takes time but within those times you must have achieved what you want. Some people that relocated to UK as ordinary carer have become registered nurses even before they get their ILR. UK needs patience and at last you will be glad. The issue is that many people want it so fast. They prefer getting PR faster than growing in their profession. That's why they prefer Canada.
Thanks for pointing out how hard and time consuming it is for people to get citizenship in the UK. I’ve seen a lot of RU-vidrs making it sound easy and some have said it can take 5 years on the work visa which is wrong. The Uk work visa gives you 5 years then you have to apply for ILR and wait for another 1 year before you can apply for citizenship. Add all of that up and you’re clocking nearly 7 years. I know someone who got their Canadian passport in 4 years 😂
Canada is the best country for foreigners. International students must stop going to the UK. I know a lot of people that are suffering there and regret their decision
@@wasiuadedotun8323 Indeed, but the government must take into account that these students are coming from developing contries, investing much more money than national students usually the double in order to go to study in the UK, but of course this means to find a job in the UK and live. Whats the point of studying then going back to where they came from? The whole educational and work ethics from the country they came from is completely different. If these students were willing to come back, they would have studied in their home countries for much more cheaper. But going to study in the UK and in English then 4 years or 6 years after you tell them leave, thats ridiculous, they go back home lost and all that education becomes useless and baf investment..
I absolutely agree with you. I was in UK after doing my studies and could not get a job at all. Even during d study could not get a part-time job. Also, Canada is an easy part to PR than UK.
@@vicbade9702 I mean, if I only I can advise all those people going to the UK and Netherlands. In the Netherlands its worse. Especially because the official language is not english. Even in the UK where English is the official language, international students struggle. When they bring money, and pay X2 tuition fees, they welcome them with a smile and make them feel like home. But when they graduate, instead of allowing them to stay, they put so much pressure and it becomes a rat race, full of anxiety and depression, making it the hardest conditions for them to stay , or getting lucky to be sponsored by some employer and remain on a leach for 8 or 10 years until you get your papers
The United Kingdom is a glorified Nigeria. Ben spent £40k for his master's at Cranfield University I told him why didn’t he go to Kenya or South Africa to complete his master's. I know Ben regretted his decision. Guys the United Kingdom is way overrated.
If you've got no immigration issues in the Uk it is a very lovely place and if you've got your Citizenship, it can be Eldorado. Patience is key and it depends on individual preference. For me weather, job opportunities, proximity to Africa, community, are big big factors.
UK winters can be very cold too. Depends on where you live in the UK. In the north of Scotland in UK, we also get temperatures of -17 or -21 during winter in some places. In some parts of England, they also get temperatures as low as -8 or -10
@@suleeha Absolutely. Number 1 reason I am not looking to move to Canada. Why will I leave -21 and go to -40? Why😅😅 Lovely video. Everyone's experiences irrespective of location will always be based on their individual circumstances. For me, I have no regrets moving to the UK.
Yes I agree. Even most of the people I know living in the UK are complaining about the cold here. The UK is really cold. Even when it doesn't snow you will realize it's still very cold. And it really affects. And for that. My best season is summer where you see people trooping out. Bars, restaurant, hotels and public places flooded with visitors. I really enjoy summer because it's season when I dress so cool and high fashion and admire my fashion as well, rather than wearing bogus jackets and Sweaters when it's cold. And the thing is that you never get tired of summer that's it. But it gets the point when you'd have enough of the cold and too much cold is not good for the human body and that is why it is medically recommended to get sufficient sun for the body to increase the vitamin D level and your melatonin as well.
At last your own page gives me hope 🎉 ahah i login to RU-vid just now and seeing rubbish rubbish they’re making me scared and confused thank you for this video sis and where can i contact you
< I moved from US to Canada because .. The United States has many problems, but most of them lack clear solutions, so they remain unsolved problems. However, one major problem that has a clear solution, in my opinion, is the US tax code. Please note that this is not a general complaint against US taxes, on the contrary, I personally believe that as a US citizen we get a lot of benefit from the taxes we pay and the IRS does a pretty good job of keeping everything in order, but it's a rail against overly complex, convoluted and incredibly inconsistent laws about how taxes are calculated that are so riddled with loopholes and free passes that they have become a pervasive injustice to ordinary Americans.
< The solution: Throw away the tax code and come away with a much more simplified (but not necessarily different) tax system, mostly by removing most of the exemptions and exceptions that benefit very, very few. (In fact, although I'm no expert, I would estimate that 99% of the existing tax code does not benefit the 95% of taxpaying US citizens.)>>
< It truly amazes me how I went from living an average life to earning $48,500 every 2 weekws. all thanks to Sherman Williams Trading.. I don't know how he does it but he definitely makes it possible, I believe in him..
UK education system is far superior. My daughters born and raised in the uk moved to Canada aged 12 and 14 and are about 2 years ahead in Canada in terms of schooling. Technology is far more advanced in the uk. Banking systems etc are way ahead. UK universities are far more prestigious than Canadian ones.
It’s actually UK 3-2 Canada . Under Benefits , you were counting sub benefits for Canada when you counted no sub benefits for UK. You got bias towards the end perhaps because you trying to favor your home country . UK ( 4 ) Proximity , Job Opportunities & Diversity , Weather Canada ( 2 ) Immigration, Benefits If we count sub categories for UK just like you did for Canada . It will be 10 Vs 5 . UK wins if you can get yourself on the path to ILR
lol, if anything about this video, it was tilted more to the UK. If i had done the subcategory as a category we wont be here. lol but then i agree, Uk is great when you are on a path to ILR and never for once did i advocate that it was bad. They are both great places to live. it is just finding what suits me as you can see from my opinion
Hi Suleeha, Your contents are great. I have learned a great deal from your videos. And, yes, I am subscribed to your channel and notification bell well struck. Carry on with the amazing job you are doing!
Your analysis is very insightful and informative. I reside in edinburgh and considering relocating to canada. Your analysis is helping make a decision. but if you can be more extensive concerning the cost living, tax and salary in canada compare to the uk, that will really help to make my final decision. Thank you.
Thank you for watching. in my videos about challenges, i think i mentioned briefly about the cost of living. statistically, it is more in Canada but the truth of the matter it is not far from each other, inflation is not helping either. what is your field?
Cheap is relative o! Canada is not cheap either, Inflation is not even helping things. i think my best motto is to cut your coat according to your size. if you are in the UK, explore the less expensive cities. groceries are inevitable we will always eat. Transport and groceries are cheaper in the UK than Canada
I have been in the UK for 8 years now through study route now on Innovative visa with my right to work revoked struggling to get by. I can confidently tell that I'm still paying through my nose to renew my visa up till now.😅 My bear bear don turn white🤣
@@ImmaculataChima exactly one of the major reason that can cause revocation 😂 uk hate student trying to cheat due to greed . Some go as far as working extra and get paid in cash but that depends on the employer. Either ways ,one has to be careful to avoid penny wise, pounds foolish. Uk is good 👍
U are expressively fantastic with all these amazing informations provided to help the individuality chooses btw the variable options as regard both countries.
Groceries are cheaper in the Uk. It's on the high side in canada. It's all about cutting your cloth according to your size You can watch my video on challenges immigrant face
Transcript is just a leg of the movement. Getting the admission, the funds etc are the main hurdles. If those can be sorted. Applying should be just fine with right documentations
Thank you for your analysis, please I will like to know, can your family join you in Canada after you've gotten PR and they will also get PR just like UK where your family can join you on ILR even if they just joined you.
Yeah. So with Canada it is spousal sponsorship. You have to file for them if you decide to not make them an unaccompanied. But after all they get pr too
In these kind of comparaisons, it's always important to keep in mind that Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Each province and territory have their own way of doing things. So it's pretty much like 13 countries into 1. One thing in Ontario is not gonna be the same as in BC for example. So, whatever someone experiences in Ontario will not be the same elsewhere. Like taxes for example, it's different from 1 province to another. So, it's best for someone who wants to move to Canada to do their research on each province because they do things differently from one another. Also in terms of traveling to countries that are closer, yes the UK gets a point because all the other European countries are closer. But in Canada, when you leave a province for another one it sometimes feels like you left for another country 😅 . Besides the US and Mexico, Canadian also go to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Brasil, Argentina, Turks and Caicos(lots of Canadian go there that at one point the island was even considering becoming the 11th province of Canada 😅) . In terms of diversity, it's not that much different from the UK. All the big cities are very diverse, just like the UK. Also, Toronto is the most diverse city in the world.
Thanks for contributing. You are not wrong at all. Each to its own, which is why I made reference to Ontario because that’s where I am resident, you can’t know all about each and every province. With diversity. Uk for me still takes it. It’s in my opinion 😅😂
@@suleeha yes, you're right. But I say this because a few people that I used to know left Canada because of one bad experience in one province. When I moved from from Quebec to Ontario and later on to Alberta, that's when my eyes were open about how very differently each province does things. It really was an eye opener. Many immigrants don't know this and think that Canada is all the same everywhere and they get discouraged and decide to leave the country without trying out another province to experience the difference. That's why I say it's important for potential newcomers to know that Canada is not the same everywhere. And yes I agree with you that the UK is very diverse. But between Toronto and London, Toronto is still the most diverse city in the world. In the future if you can, visit these cities; Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax. You will find that they are very diverse. But then again, the UK has more people so yes it probably is more diverse there.
Maybe you're correct. But you need to know that the US and UK are the most culturally and ethnically diverse countries in the world. And this has been proven.
@@BrightAdimora this video is basically about Toronto particularly and Ontario in General, not Canada as a whole. So the fact that the UK and the US are more diverse is not really relevant, because everybody already knows that fact about those 2 countries.
One thing to take note of is that amongst the UK US Canada Australia. The UK is the most visa friendly among all of them. Why is it that most people especially nigerians and other african countries are going to the UK than USA and Canada.. getting a visa to USA and Canada is not easy due to their foreign policy, and visa policy as well. Unless you're from a country their government really like then they give it to you without stress. The UK is more lenient with visa acceptance and of which that can change at anytime if they decide to review their policy.
Canada is a bit better but going downhill -- I'm a Brit and lived in both and wouldn't go back to either of them .. You personally will HATE the depressing overcast weather ten months of the year
Canada’s environment is a much better one than UK. USA is the best of all 3 countries. Florida USA was my final destination.hiding from the cold locations!!
Salaam alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu sister Suleeha. Im planning to move to Canada with my three kids. Can I come along with my niece to care for these kids while I'm studying?. My husband can't relocate with us bcos I'm the third wife.
Waleikum salam sis. It might pose a bit of problem because what would you be bringing her as? She can only come with you if you have adopted her legally or you are her legal guardian. If she is old enough, she can apply for a visit visa let her come back and forth at interval to visit from time to time to care for them.
Hi Peace! Good day dear. Watched you from Tochi's channel. I'm interested in the teaching assistant job you talked about. Pls can you share the link. Thank you ❤. I have already subscribed❤
😂 lol who told you there are not wonderful women working their self off in their great careers in the Uk? This discuss isn’t even talking who is moving more between women and men😅
@@suleeha to your comparison Canada is more better for family to settle down than UK, am a fashion designer in unisex I sew very excellent, am planning to join my brother in UK early next year as am working on my papers now, I just pray if I get there I should be able to get the same tailoring job but I know is not easy though, what do you dear? Any advice for me?
@@yemiadeleke4197 that’s a good one. How does it work? Is it automatic? Say for example your give birth? Is it free to cover all cost? I am just curious considering how I know how expensive birthing can be in this country?
Canada is stupidly cold 🥶 and boring! Canada will make you depressed... After getting the permanent residence and so? Canada is over hyped nothing special about Canada...After 5years you will get depressed and start considering a relocation to America....I relocated back to Nigeria, now I am looking all fresh n healthy
Thank you so much for this video. I feel Canada is the as compared to UK. It has so many advantages. I will make use of this opportunity. Mant thanks dear.
So there are varieties of grants. PR are entitled to to further amd continue your study. For example in Ontario. There is something called OSAP. Grants are given to applicant who qualify and want to further their education.
@@suleeha When you say grants. Is it fully funded or I just get some funds to support. For me, I'm a pharmacist looking to enter the poll soon but I want to follow your steps by sorting out my Transcripts and IELTS. Do you mean once if I get a PR I'm entitled to support to go back to school to write the exams to become a full pharmacist while I work as a pharmacist assistants?
@@suleeha Also for the poll, I saw a slot on the website for if I have any certifications given to me in Canada or by any province and points is a lot. Does it mean that I can take online certification courses on coursera with Canadan universities and it will add to my points on the poll?
Greetings, thanks for the info on comparison between Canada and Uk,please am a skilled worker(pipe fitter),I have gotten approval to come over to British columbia to challenge certificate,I need your guidance and step by step procedures on how to apply with as regards supporting documents
Thank you Suleeha...I am planning to come to Canada soon on a less than one year study permit. I intend to move my Family to Canada just after 3 month I enter Canada. What is the possibility of my wife and Children getting Visa within 4month of my being in Canada?
I can help you answer this from personal experience. You can move in at the same time with your family if you apply for the right visa types for you and ur dependent for Canada. Primary applicant = study months b4 intended study thereafter it came out then Spouse= sowp Children = study permit All inside one flight to Canada
Hi l am White ??? . Most of the applicants to Canada ??? seem to be Black ??? Why ???. Now l am white ?? . With a difference ??. I am English ??. I actually lived in Canada between 1964 and 1968 ??. Sadly my parents opted to leave Canada just 6 months before we all ??. Qualified as Canadian Citizens ??? . Something l always regretted my parents doing. Sadly l have been blocked returning ever since ??. So you ?? black people ???. Forget the racist remarks. Most of your countries got independence ?? a long long time ago ??. So now you ?? want to leave those countries ??? . So WHAT ??? is THAT ??? all about ???. Answer ??? if you Can ???
It’s okay. When you mean you are blocked from returning? Are you not allowed to come into the country again? Also, independence or not, Being black or not. Anyone can decide to leave a country to settle on another. It’s all about choices and wanting a chance a lot a better future in a working society. So my answer comes down to choice as regards each individuals
Thank you for watching. So many skills nowadays that is okay. just find the one that you can learn and deliver well if hired. tech has so many skills you can explore. you can also look into others that can fetch you money as an aside. e.g i sew very well. it is a skill i learnt before coming here.
Hhahahah! The two countries has it pros and cons when it comes to relationship. The truth of the matter is, people should be open minded when it comes to relationship. Thanks for watching.
@@suleeha I know but what are those pros and cons??? I know that some Southern locals in the UK can be nice to your face but are fake and xenophobic. Is this also true in Canada? Is it easier to make friends there?
Partner abroad is by apps. A lot of people find dating apps. For Muslims they use matchmakers. For friends wherever you are find friends you do not need white friends to survive.
Well said Saleeha. Fair and balanced. It’s up to the person to decide what suits him. I am considering a move to Canada from the U. Is my circumstances. It might be the opposite for others.
Your scores don’t tally, why will I struggle for the job and harsh weather? The dollar is poor, I don't like Canada. I think is just for people looking for passport but when you get your British passport and settled on immigration, Uk is far better.
Ermm! Why doesn’t it tally? It’s okay not to like Canada but these are my opinion and they stand based on my experience. Like you said it’s for people looking for passport. And quite frankly it is okay to want to endure to get another passport especially when you are coming from a country that’s just developing and doesn’t have a great passport in the scheme of things. Uk is not also bad if you hear me say, it just can’t avail people what they need in time. Getting a British passport and settling after how many years? I would have achieved that and more in Canada. I made the comparison from my own POV🤗
@Suleeha nice info and presentation, but in your own view why are people leaving Canada back to UK, and again what is the rate of crime in Canada compare to UK?
I appreciate you taking the time to watch. 🙏 It appears that many people are returning to the UK from Canada for various reasons, ranging from personal to economic factors. The decision ultimately depends on the individual circumstances. While factors such as weather and proximity may play a role, the cost of living is expensive in both countries. Additionally, social life may be a consideration. Regarding crime rates, Canada statistically has lower crime rates than the UK, although it is not immune to its own challenges. In my opinion, the UK is not without its own merits, but the issue of knife crime remains a concern.
UK gives you a fast route to practice as a professional while in Canada its difficult to start working as a professional. Most immigrants in canada do jobs like Customer services, fruit picker, uber, warehouse or caregiver jobs that really education. In the UK, its easier to start working as a Doctor, nurse, teacher, med lab scientist, e.t.c. These reasons might be why some people are leaving Canada back to the UK
@@jessicabrainz yeah you are right. People start slow to get there as opposed to the Uk, which I stated in the video. It just depends on the individual person. Can I stand doing this while I get to my goal or move to a more better receptive country??
@@suleeha some people think once you just land Canada, you start working as a professional. It's not so. Honestly I love your sincerity. You just gained two followers(myself and my sister).
No. Just the child becomes citizen. You must also pay all medical bills in full as it relates to childbirth if you are a visitor except you have insurance that covers such.
