I'd imagine most would agree with your assessment. Not just from a statistical point of view either, even on the variables Turkey is quite a ways ahead in things like munition stockpiles (for protracted war) and operational readiness considering all the combat they've seen in places like Syria and Libya of late. Considering no nation wants to be the one dropping the first nuke in over 70 years, seems like if a conflict erupted Turkey would wipe the floor with the English. But neither nation has the capability to fight a war that far from it's shores, so I'm not sure where they'd fight. Turkey can't get the England and England can't wage war with a place as far as Turkey.

@@navigator0950 They literally fought a military which was stone age era. Argentina at the time had trouble performing normal maintenence on their planes for god's sake. Their military operational abilities were in shambles. Which is probably why they were able to get such few troops onto the Falkland Islands. Not to mention it was a logistical nightmare for the English to a point they've come to the conclusion they're not going to do that anymore. (At least not without hiding behind America's skirt) 1. How long ago was that war? 2. Can England take on any nation which isn't in complete shambles militarily? There is an argument to be made for your side of the view. The trouble is you're doing a really bad job at defending that view.

Considering the cost of things in each nation. Yea Turkey's 25 billion comes out to more than the UK's 55. I've seen similar calculations made for China's military budget vs the United States. The conclusion being China's military is better funded if you factor in the difference in costs.
