Boomer, 💯 there's passion in American sport but in Britain it's tribalism. That's the difference. Football is a religion/Cult that is part of our DNA. This is just a cultural thing.
Not a lot of people know that the game series Grand Theft Auto originates from and is actually made in Britain (Specifically Scotland) and as a result is BASICALLY a Brit piss-take of America and you might be wondering why the heck I'm saying this but it's because this video reminded me of the "LS Benders" soccer radio adverts in GTA V where they portray what it'd be like if Americans embraced British soccer, including doing British football chants and I always found that funny. It's surprisingly hilarious hearing British chants in the style of American chants lol. They can be found on RU-vid. The adverts make more fun of Britain than America tbf LOL.
It's because Britain is a small country with a lot of football teams in it, and so it's not difficult to go to the Away ground. Thus you get one lot of fans chanting at the other lot of fans. Let's not kid ourselves, though, football grounds can be cauldrons of hatred and vile abuse: the "Wenger" chant at Old Trafford, for example.

Yeah f-ing dreadful awful lol, sorry. Us Aussies don't chant too much either...well not in unison, usually too drunk in own world lol. The Brits and other passionate countries about football are best at this. I come from an English and Scottish background, so this behaviour of British outspokeness is normal to me. I'm glad you love it and Sean and all the other wonderful comedians they produce. I could send you some crazy funny Aussie humour too 😅

Biased doubly, it might be said, by being an Englishman and by having been educated in the city, nevertheless I am sure as eggs is eggs that my favourite chant is one that got you too as witnessed in your video. It goes something like this: Oy can't read n Oy can't write but Oy cun droive a tracturrr.. Oym a Bristol City fan n Oym a fuhkinn wancurrrrrr. Can't beat a bit of self mockery in jokes at the best of times. But in the face of opposition fans, it's priceless. They'd get all confused, as taking the ρι5s out of the other side is their job..!
