Thank you so much for joining me for a vlog of my trip to The Woolly Good Gathering in Edinburgh, a new show for 2024!
* A little note here because I think I cut the bit in the video where I explained this… I’m on a bit of a journey with dental work at the moment, which means at times I have noticed I lisp slightly or open my mouth a little wider when talking, I also have a broken tooth which catches my cheek when I speak- so if I look a little odd when talking that might be why 🙈*

They say never work with children or animals but yours are super cute & extremely giggly!!! Thank you for filming with our friends too! Love seeing you all 💜 I would make a pair of fingerless mitts with the Ripples yarn - so my colours!!!

A lovely video Laura. It was so much fun to visit the Woolly Good Gathering with you (I would have eaten lots of doughnuts too - they looked amazing!) and I loved the chaos of your beautiful little ones at the end there. I have a 7 year old boy so also live with that chaos every day 😂 With that gorgeous yarn, I would make either a shawl, or some fingerless mitts and perhaps a hat to go with it by adding a contrast colour to ensure I had enough yarn. Thank you for the opportunity to win it and the beautiful notions pouch too 🙂

Your children are growing so fast! What fun they are! My grandchildren are the same ages and I knit them both a Musselburgh hat. As I still need to knit myself one I would use the yarn to do so. Thanks for a informative podcast. The yarn show looked great. Well done on the driving! Jane San Diego

Wow - an epic drive Laura, thank you for sharing your wonderful trip with us. I haven't managed to attend a yarn festival yet but it is on my bucket list to do so! I think I would use such a pretty skein for a hat so that everyone could see it!

Thanks for the vlog - I was at Woolly Good and it was a fantastic show. They'd made a huge effort to be sustainable and inclusive. If I'm lucky enough to win the prize (very generous btw!) I'd make a cowl I think, not sure which particular pattern but it shouldn't be a problem finding something suitable!😊

That was a long drive! But the show looked brilliant and I love that they were also trying to lift and build community. Such beautiful yarn too, I'd probably end up making something for my nan if I won (she's extremely knitworthy), maybe another beret x

Hi Laura, my goodness you did have a long trip to Edinburgh. Thank you for showing so much footage of your trip, really lovely to see. I was there too on the Friday, I had a fabulous time and bought some beautiful yarn. I l live just outside of Edinburgh so didnt have far to go. I spotted Helen at the show and think I saw you too. 😅Your children are adorable, lived the faces your daughter made, made me smile. I love all your goodies too, especially your Toadstool bag. If I am lucky enough to win the yarn I would either make a shawl, eg. The Changing Staircases or the hat Xx

I love watching wee yarn shows and festivals, we don't have them here in Northern Ireland, The children are getting so big, I' a long term veiwer. I think that I'd use the yarn to make the Sand Bubbles Shawlette. Great to see you back and hopefully won't have to wait so long for next one x

Love this video, great to see you again and so great to see the yarn show! I'm a bit obsessed with hot water bottle covers at the moment (must be the fact it's still freezing even though it's May!) so I think I would hold it double and make a lovely hot water bottle cover

I spotted you and Helen at the show but didn't interrupt you to say hi! It was such a great show, I really enjoyed seeing a lot of scottish vendors that don't necessarily make it down south very often, if at all. I did buy some skeins of Ripples Crafts to pair with some Giddy Yarns, funnily enough, for a Daft Days cardigan, but your giveaway skein colours are right up my street & would definitely become a shawl!

That was fun Beautiful yarn, hopefully I'll get around to actually attending a show soon I'd make a wrap or maybe a Sophie's scarf with it, but I would have to give it a squish first as it might inspire me to make something else
