Hello friends - it's that time of the year again: Presenting our Best of Dubstep 2021 Mix, featuring some of our favourite uploads and releases of 2021. Tracklist will be available in the description once the mix has aired. Please note that we couldn't fit all the tracks we wanted in this mix, so please forgive us if your favourite tracks are missing. With that said, we hope you enjoy the mix and we look forward to being back after Christmas!
@@sharkstunes I loved the ep dude every song was a banger my two favs were water elemental and whirlpool there so good not to mention the others song which every single song on the ep went on one of my singular playlists
Then go back and listen to it + legacy music in those styles are still being released if you actually dig for it All of those artists release different music these days, and UKF also has always mainly focused on fresh stuff on the forefront
2021 was an amazing year for dubstep: amazing songs, magnificent collaborations and old artists coming back to life. Thanks for the amazing uploads and much more to come in 2022 🤘💙🎆
Im on the other hand disappointed - from my point of view (hearing?) dubstep as a whole became much more technical, losing all the magic and much fun somewhere along the way ...
ya trends come and go :D Years ago it was dubstep then it became EDM/trap then vaporwave/synthwave and the whole 80s nostalgie started to surface with stuff like chillhop/ lo fi and more jazzy chord based bass music taking the spotlight.
Damn this is probably one of the mixes I've enjoyed the most over the past few years. So many melodic tracks and good old 140 BPM deep dubstep selections. Glad to see some of my faves like Oliverse, Franky Nuts and Leotrix in there. Would have loved to see some Nitepunk in there but alas. Big mix UKF!
Increíble recopilación, el dubstep sigue siendo un motivador y fuente de creatividad sin precedentes. Me alegra que este canal haya perdurado en el tiempo, ¡buen fin de año a todos!
I got my first dubstep album in 2003 I believe it was a sounds of ministry album then 6 years later ukf dubstep released their first ukf dubstep album then 2010 now that's what I call dubstep was released then then again in 2010 Skrillex released scary monsters and nice sprites then august 12th 2011 Nero released their greatest album ever welcome to reality dubstep evolved so much from 2003
So far, Ive felt like this mix is just mostly sub par dubstep songs with minimal, low effort into the synths or songs themselves, and its far too melodic. Dubstep was never meant to be extremely melodic and trap like, even literal melodic dubstep, has become far too close to trap than actual dubstep. Its all melodies and no synth thought. It sounds like rehashes of the same synths instead of people being creative and making their own sound. Listen, I can understand the appeal of modern dubstep and melodic dubstep, but holy shit, can anyone make good, dark, heavy shit anymore? Why is it all super melodic and so closely related to trap that I can BARELY tell the difference? If I showed someone a trap song, and then showed them Set me Free by Chime and Axel Boy (18:10), most people wouldnt even say theres a difference really compared to house and dubstep, two vastly different styles, two different tempos, and different sounds overall. Can we go back to the classic sounds already????
Man I cant believe in over my 7 years of being a fan of UKF I have never heard a compilation the day it comes out. Hope this compilation is worth me brwaking that streak. Edit: (22/12/2021) Missed the live premier and my earphones died today whoops.
