Hi 👋🏾 I’m also a Ghanaian IMG , graduated in 2022 , applied for UKFP 2024 but failed my first PLAB 1 and I’m now applying for UKFP 2025 , I’ve currently written my PLAB 1 retake and I’m preparing for the UKFPO Clinical Assessment Exam, just wanted to say good luck on your journey I’m rooting for you and Godwilling we will both achieve the UKMD dream and be colleagues in the NHS one day ! 🤗
@kitina11454 hiii, I’m not taking it this year. Some material for preparing would be sent to candidates, according to the information on the UKFPO’s website
Hi Doctor, thanks a lot for your guidance ❤. I have three questions it would be very kind from you if you may help me with that. 1) when should i apply for ukfp if i am graduating on July 2026? 2) whats the success rate of ukfpo for us IMG's? 3) Can i apply for FY1 if i have an internship in my medical degree?
Hii, you’re welcome. Glad it was helpful. 1) If you’re graduating in July 2026, you’d be able to apply for UKFP 2027 when the eligibility window opens in July 2026. 2) I am not sure there are any specific statistics on success rates of IMGs in the UKFP application. I know though that there’s no separation between UK applicants and IMG applicants. 3) If you’re internship would be accepted by GMC, then you would most likely get full registration and in that case you won’t be eligible for Fy1 Hope this helps😊
Dr. I will also apply for the UKFP 2026 as my OET result came after the deadline 😢 but now we have one more problem and that is clinical assessment that we will have to appear (as it’ll be almost a year we graduated) Can you make a dedicated video about it explaining everything. Your videos are appreciated thank you.
Thank you for the informative video. By completion of medical school training does it mean i should have graduated, or is it fine as long as i completed my final exams and know im graduating in a month like october. (I finished in april but our graduation is in october, does that mean ill be withdrawn from the application process?). Im abit confused ecen after watching the video before this.
