My husbands job involves dealing with the public and on one occassion he was trying to explain things to a Polish woman who couldn't speak English and because my husband can't speak Polish it was what you call a no win situation. Luckily the Polish woman knocked on her neighbours door and although he was also Polish he could speak some English so my husband was in this ridiculous situation of having his words translated by one Polish person to another. Not what you can call a fun day at work. Of course the Politicians don't have to deal with anything like this and leave it to the people working on the front line, lol.
It is one thing to ask a difficult question, but quite another to refuse to allow them to answer fully and to badger them constantly and so pedantically. Nigel Farage is constantly referred to as far right by most of the media, which I guess is true if your perspective is from the far left (as in the case of Jon Snow). For most people who are politically neutral and who actually listen to what Farage says, he cannot be categorised in the same way as Nick Griffin, who really is far right. UKIP is a Tory alternative party with a healthy regard and respect for common sense and people's concerns, which is very refreshing.

Why is the bbc as a public body, so politically biased, if there was an option as there is in union bodies to opt out of political options, we could determine what the BBc says and does. In the UK the interviewers are unecessarily aggressive and seemingly hellbent on preventing politicians -and particularly the long-suffering Nigel Farage -from answering at all. In the US when interviewers ask a question it is noticable how they listen politely and with interest, allowing their political guests to finish his/ her point before jumping in with accusations or to challenge. I really wish UK news presenters would watch and learn from our American cousins.
