The support from the West didn't dwindle, as the Ukrainians have just received 300 million euros from Denmark alone worth of military aid. The matter of the fact is that they cannot keep up with the Russian mass production of ammunition and weapons. The sanctions backfired, apparently, and now all of them, Ukraine and its allies will play the "blame game". Most of the young Ukrainians, the loudest ones on internet, aren't even home. 2 million able men are elsewhere, and they have no willingness to go back to their country. They should've settled two years ago because now they are facing a dire future.

I hope Ukrainians take zelinski out of office and negotiate a peace

Ukraine was always going to lose this. The goal was never to 'beat' Russia, it was to try and inflict as much damage as possible and further isolate it from the world stage, while also reuniting NATO. Now NATO is stronger than ever in history. Russia has been isolated from Europe but done incredibly well at shifting trade routes. Ukraines future has been wrecked. Russia's future is shinning.

It was the duty of the Kiev regimes over 30 years to adequately develop the natural wealth of Ukraine, prepare defenses like other former SSRs and satellites, grow and diversify the economy in ALL regions, maintain all civil apparatus at least to 1991 standards, nip corruption in the bud and, above all, keep its pledge to retain the status of the autonomous regions, districts and oblasts known in Soviet times as "republics". The only annexation of Crimea was by Kiev on spurious and invalid administrative grounds by the stroke of a pen during the gradual cancellation of the autonomy laws (which are still in the Ukrainian constitution). It did none of these things but allowed rampant oligarchs to steal from the people's inbuilt ownership of land, industries, agriculture, human resources and eventually lost control of the north east industrial area, the Donbas, through sheer neglect of maintenance. Depopulation was massive and mainly only old people and small farmers remained. Politicians were in constant bickering and jailed each other, with some being "bought" by the USA from Obama's first term through to Poroshenko's time in power. Ukraine was wide open to manipulation by the USA and was seen as the probable battleground for a proxy war with Russia. This was openly admitted by Blinken and Austin in April 2022. Poroshenko had become uneasy about the idea of Ukraine being a western looking state and Zelenskyy took over in December 2019, very quickly gagging the press and cutting finances to the Civil Defense. Votes against Zelenskskyy in Lviv oblast, which also wanted to cut ties with Kiev, were discounted and even then Zelenskyy only squeezed in with a tiny majority. Other area votes had also been deemed invalid. Zelenskyy's devious ways are well known to refugees and Russia crossed into Donbas after many warnings to Kiev to take responsibility and the not all that new president settled into insistence upon 2021 borders being restored as well as claiming Crimea. The USA run NATO and some non-NATO states supplied Kiev with weapons but too many were inappropriately used and some fired over the Russian border despite strict conditions. Despite bravery and having some excellent field officers and NCOs, Ukrainian forces were sent on wasteful and impossible missions by Kiev high command and the declaration of martial law. Facts about filling dead men's boots, militias following soldiers on "no retreat" duties and pressing key workers then the general public away from Kiev into uniform led to huge losses which were never disclosed but known to refugees through intelligence network. By the time the vaunted 'counter offensive' demanded by Washington showed no signs of happening, the USA's proxy war idea was dead in the water and Biden sent illegal cluster munitions to Kiev via countries which had signed the 2010 ban. The USA's weapons did not perform well and the Biden regime pushed more of the supply burden to European states. It was clear that the USA was breaking promises to supply Kiev and finding excuses. The tragedy is that a cease fire followed by talks could have taken place by spring 2023 but Zelenskyy's regime and propaganda success aimed at the people led to more and more losses by the day. This is still happening.
