The Ukrainians never cease to amaze me.

and that is how germany folded during WW2. it was impossible logistically to get over 1 million distinct parts to the front line. they had equipment stolen from all over Europe. French trucks, Dutch bikes, Czech trucks, tanks etc.

They seem to be stuck in the early days of WW2. They used the same kind of vehicles as this for the same role but knew to put armor around the crew, some Flakpanzers were even built on tank chassis and had side armor protecting the crew, so Putin is around 80 years behind Hitler

I think the stand off between each other is plenty to keep them relatively safe.

almost all countries, at least since WWII, used aa guns against ground targets at some point, including the US, Russia, Germany, Britain... and don't forget many irregular armies widely using HMG and AA pieces in the so called technicals (middle east, Africa, South America...).

US doctrine basically is overwhelming firepower. In Desert Storm the Iraqi army was hit so hard and so fast the US took a fraction the losses anyone expected and Iraqis were so overwhelmed they'd surrender to unarmed UAV's. The Abrams was overwhelming the Soviet/Russia T-72s and taking them out faster than the T-72s could close the distance to get the Abrams within their shorter range. The US tanks, planes, bombers, helicopters, artillery, missile systems, ships, and pretty much everything else have more firepower then the enemies they typically encounter. Even with AFVs there's been Strykers with 120mm mortars, 30mm cannons with tank style turrets, and massive 105mm tank cannons. The whole reason why the US started cutting back on artillery shells was because they'd moved towards missiles which rather than slowly whittling away at the enemy like the Russians are doing they can barrage key targets in short periods of time overwhelming them and leaving the enemy a smoulder wreck unable to defend themselves from ground forces.

I'd suggest watching the channel "Perun" and his video "Game changers in Ukraine". He does an excellent job talking about stuff like you're describing, like how even when there arent direct losses like American missiles taking out Russian depots they can still cause Russia problems since that means Russia has to do things like move their depots further back making resupply harder and less efficient and tying up more men and trucks. It's honestly kind of hilarious seeing "the worlds second best militaries" unable to even enter Ukrainian air space without risking their few working planes. Russia has at times outright stated and other times implied this conflict is similar to Desert Storm (or at least was planned to be) but the US was able to take out enemy communications and air defenses in a matter of hours and took out the Iraqi air force in a matter of days and spent most of the conflict able to carry out ground strikes and bombings with impunity while the Iraqis cowered in bunkers, pill boxes, trenches, and whatever buildings they could hide in whereas Russia can barely even leave their own air space. I think this is at least in part because both Russia and Ukraine are children of the Soviet military even though they've diverged somewhat. The Soviets were built to fight NATO and they knew they could never compete at sea so they focused on subs and anti ship missiles, they knew they couldnt compete in the air so they focused on air defenses and radar. This has kind of screwed Russia today as they lack the sophisticated aircraft of the west but both they and Ukraine have pretty decent quality air defenses. Their air defenses are old but not much older than the aircraft they're defending against and that means Russia cant really reliably carry out missions outside of their own air space. The fact Russia also has to deal with a lack of training for pilots and a lack of maintenance also means their pilots are rather incompetent and they cant really replace losses or even reliably fix damaged aircraft. That's a major reason why both sides have devolved to WW1 and WW2 style warfare.

The thing is Russia can not back up their claims and the numbers just don't add up. By now Ukrainians have lost 5 times more planes then they had, so where are these ghost planes come from? 😂
