Most of the old jets of the Ukrainian air force was already shot down, their existing planes were donated by NATO countries producing Soviet model jets like migs and sukhios, their air force is not even enough to be named an air force,not even reaching 1oo jets, hehehe,they can't even make there own jets,they gave to ask other countries producing to give them,that is how Ukraine suffers now😀😃🤬😡😰

Some quarters seem to proceed on the mistaken belief that F16s are a novelty to Russia.... open your minds and check out the conflict sector of the Middle East and you might come out informed that Russia is indeed fully conversant with this combat aircraft... which as has been the case with literally each and every military system that the Western Axis has introduced into the Ukrainian sector, is currently being over hyped in terms of its efficacy!!

@@WoWa-C No it's still roughly equal with most Russian fighters apart from maybe the SU-57. Remember Russia is about 20 years behind the United States in fighter jet technology. Russia is only catching up now to where America was in the early 1990s. So the 90s upgrade of F-16 will do just fine. That is the model that Ukraine is getting.

R-37M missile...SU57,MIG35,MIG31,SU35,and especially SU30SM2 will give a enormous headache to F16.All of these jets can carry a R-37M missile which has a range of over 300km,further than anything that F16 have.So basically Russians can shoot on F16 from out of range of F16,and F16 can't shoot at them without coming closer to Russian jets,which is not healthy.And that's without the air defense,the best airdefense on planet which Russia have.☮
I’ve been a strong Ukrainian supporter for a long time, but it’s over with this kind of help that they are receiving tying their hand behind their back. It’s over it’s only a matter of time. Eventually, I believe Ukraine will have to seize some of its territory.
Russia has known these planes for 40+ years... And Russia has been preparing for them in Ukraine for 1.5 years. They are nothing that Russia isn't prepared to handle.
Kyiv wouldn’t be able to get its newly acquired refurbished F16 fighter jets for a year and perhaps another 2~3 years for air-combat or ground-attack missions. By then the war would be over, and the fighters will serve as reminder of US and NATO efforts to support Kyiv resistance against. Flying F16s are not flying kites on windy days. Neither are the F16s Nike or Adidas footwear that one puts on for a race down the runways of the Paris Olympics tracks. There is a whole range of services needed to support their mission and fighting roles: from engineer training to service maintenance workshops to radar communication, less to talk about flying, air or ground combat experience. It’s not as simple or easy as a game of black and white checkers or catch and run in a football match. For a start the Ukrainians will need to learn to read American and understand American instructions. While the F16s serve to boost the morale of a highly demoralized and decimated force, the lost of just one F16 thru inexperience or insufficient flying experience, or fraught engineering, is not just embarrassing but a great stain on military strategists, propagandists and commanders-in-chiefs from Kyiv to Brussels and Washington. In short, we will see the F16s flying around in circles over Kyiv for a start and to expand its range and cover within national boundaries and combat missions in ~two years. Washington is certain to hold the leash on the F16s to cross the Russian front. In short there needs to be realistic expectations or else the F16s will not be able to land soon after takeoff.

It was an s-300 that shot AT the f-35 and missed no one claims a hit and there is no evidence of a shot down f35. A 2 minute google search was all that's needed to easily dismiss this claim.

In its most advanced form flown by a fully trained pilot in the role the plane was deigned for it's a capable perhaps even dominating aircraft. None of those things will be true for it's use by Ukraine. Still, who says Russian personnel are equipped to negate any benefit from having the plane in the conflict ?

The US makes the best fighter jets since essentially the end of WW2. The Russians were losing their minds awhile back saying it’s Nuclear! 😂 F-16s are certainly an upgrade to Ukraine’s Air Force. Most of Eastern European NATO countries transitioning to the epic F-35.
But why use an aeroplane that have such a weak spot, such a flaw, in the form of the "defenceless" cockpit areas? This is a "jetplane" for the use against unarmed, or weakly armed contrary "combatants"! So when are the "scraphandlers" in "special metals" getting theire first "fetch order" from these "fronts"? And no, NATO will not have to give half of Europe to Putin for ending the war in Ukraine. It will suffice for NATO to stop and partially reverse its eastward expansion, for Russia to retain access to the Black Sea via Crimea (something everyone with historical awareness knows that denying would mean the death blow to Russia as a great power and thus a direct declaration of war), and for the population of the Russian-speaking part of Ukraine to choose in a referendum whether to belong to Russia or Ukraine.
