In any case, concluding Peace with Russia is useless. Russia will simply accumulate new forces and go into battle with new forces. Ukraine has already signed one peace treaty with Russia to stop the shooting, as a result, Russia captured a village in Donetsk, violating the treaty. Accordingly, it makes no sense to trust or accept a peace treaty. So this option is pointless. Russia wants to destroy Ukraine - and that's why it won't stop.

As it is, Democrats wanted to pass bills on stopping price gouging by corporations, and specifically on gas prices but Republicans blocked it. Spending on Ukraine comprises 7% of the Federal defense budget, and is 2% the size of yearly "entitlement" spending. Our direct contribution to NATO is well under 1% of the annual defense budget. Republicans are also against any kind of price control or corporate regulation - they even blocked a bill forcing insulin to be priced no higher than $30 - same for bills on things like limiting the price of baby food, etc. Meanwhile, the US has by far the highest rate of diabetics going without insulin and in infant mortality in the developed world. It's especially ironic given most anti-vaxxers who rail against "big pharma" are all about the party that refuses to regulate it, and are fine with them charging hundreds of dollars for life saving medicine that costs a couple bucks to make a standard dose of.
