Ukraine military video shows Russian infantry crew ‘surrender’ in Kherson

The Ukrainian military has released footage purportedly showing a Russian infantry crew surrendering in the southern Kherson region, where a Kyiv counteroffensive has inflicted heavy damages on invading forces. But contrary to the picture painted in the clip, made public on September 5, 2022, the Russian defence ministry said its soldiers were holding positions in the region.

Forced mobilization of 'civilians'...get educated on the subject. They are NOT civilians who are being conscripted..they are reservists who have served in the armed forces at some point.

@@humanbean392Really? They didn't serve in the armed forces, just attended military training for a month or two in their late teens. And when these reservists don't wanna fight so they either break their arm or try to flee, that is called forced mobilization only.

@@humanbean392 yup like basic military Exercise during school. We have it here too. They taught to hold a gun correctly, Reload and shoot . And most important of all , basic Military drill of shoot Run and cover as a unit. We called it the National Corps. Pretty basic when We were just 14 15 , Some take Military voluntary training in High school and college too.

Definitely prearranged, but not fake. Crew either got lost or became isolated. Didn't think they could make it back to their lines and decided to not chance it. Not a hard decision when you have a Soviet era light armored vehicle and your facing, literally, every type of anti-armor weapon in the western world.

Both sides have loads of people surrendering because large numbers on each side are conscripts. The biggest difference is between a conscript and a volunteer. Conscript soldiers are the worst as they are forced to join military. I think this war has opened my eyes on why a volunteer military will always be superior to a conscript military.

There is this Ukrainian programme "i want to live" Russian soldiers can call it and set up their surrender. They are given a place and time where they have to go and surrender. I guess this is one of the examples of this program working.

Why do you think the US isn't afraid for the Nuclear war with Russia this time unlike in the cold war both sides respected each other. Because Russia is surrounded by NATO forces. They were in a IFV, against modern WESTERN ANTI-TANK weaponry. No. With no support by Russian Infantry, that IFV was like a mobile coffin. They chose the right choice surrendering.

They don't have advanced precision missiles like Ukraine has. That tank would be blown up easily. Not only that, the Russian tanks were suppose to have thick metal plates. Instead, corruption in purchasing has shown they put plastic or cardboard instead.

This is ridiculous. It's not about what's in your heart... The last thing any soldier wants is to be at the mercy of their enemies. There is no such thing as an armored vehicle surrendering to infantry... The BMP could have killed the Ukrainian infantry if it decided to. That BMP could have retreated back to the lines under the cover of the forests to guard from ATGMs if the Ukrainian infantry had any. Not to mention the fact of how did the Ukrainians contacted the crew to surrender or vice versa...

The problem now is simply put: How long will Putin be in power and what measure will be use in the war. the southern front is holding for the most part since the bulk of russian troops are there. The north is losing ground massively since practically the russian is being outnumber 5:1. Russia lack the commitment it need to win the war and unless thing get desperate enough, this will turn into a full-scale war for russia and the atrocities it will commit will be far greater then we seen now.

@@Asswife this war caused Finland and Sweden to join NATO, so it had the opposite effect of what you're claiming. Ukraine was never going to join NATO, only because NATO wanted to appease Putin. Remember, you need a unanimous vote to accept a new NATO member and nobody wanted to provoke the Russians. Now Russia has been exposed for the weak, incompetent army it really is and NOBODY is intimidated by them anymore. Ukraine will 100% join NATO now once they expell Russia. If it werent for the nuclear weapons, NATO would be discussing an invasion on the Russian homeland to get Putin, much like we did for Saddam. This has to be the epic fail of the century

Everyone understands how a propaganda works. Believe me, experience with this stuff helps understand it more. Experience in these yhings has the best way of distinguishing fake and true events. However, people who never had this experience and trust in anything can be prone to propaganda itself.. I may not have experience myself, but I am not biased toward any side in any way. I also have a Russian friend who lost his brother in this cursed conflict.. My family tends to be divided over opinions on this war. Some are Pro-Ukrainian government, some are for Pro-Russian government
