Residents of Ukraine’s western city of Lviv have marked ‘Heroes Day’ over the weekend by remembering those who fought for Ukraine’s independence in the 20th century.
Veterans of nationalist groups including the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army marched through the city centre accompanied by a marching band.

All I can think about looking at these old Ukrainian 'heroes" from UPA, is how many children or pregnant women blood they have on their hands.

Patriotism rises in Ukraine because of the atrocities, greed, and meddling of foreign powers. Love of one's own people demands loyalty and a protective spirit. Patriotism grows now in every nation of Europe for the same reasons. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes! Слава Україні! Слава героям!

***** the truth is, that in the XX of the interwar, Polish-German relations were "not the best". But German minority (Volksdeutsche) with the consent of Hitler, provoking Poles! Remember that Germany occupied Poland for 123 years! So, for what Poles had "love" Germans?!
