I'm so shocked to hear all that. First, Stas isn't from Ukraine. He is from Latvia. Second, he is not a refugee. He lived in Ukraine maybe 2 years. And not on the war territory. He lived in Kyiv, the capital. He was a bit famous some time ago and moved abroad not because of war.

Well how come Onuka, Jamala, Daha Braha, Monatik raised to global fame at the same time in Ukraine when Stas, a Latvian national, had to flee? 😂 Something’s wrong in this story, perhaps, someone shouldn’t have relied on promises by Comedy Club producers, and respect his Ukrainian fans more. Why the teenage star times suddenly became a good memory? 😮 If anyone here translates interviews with Stas in Ukrainian press from 2013, you can see how unhappy he was with his pop star label. Generally speaking, I admire Stas’s voice as a pure gem, and proud he’s from Latvia, however, leaving Ukraine was silly.

Accordin to UN there is no war in Ukraine, especially in Kyiv. If he was a refugee from Donbass area, ok. But he lived in the capital city for the whole time. He never saw any bullets, explosions or whatsoever. He simply used his "sad" story to get a shelter and to make people feel pity for him. What a snake
