Crazy footage, hard to tell whats going on..we have to remember they can't really see eachother through the trenches until they're right on top of eachother.

What is clipped out is when the Wagnerite soldier shot his own guy at around 1:09. In the original footage, the guy moves up left to right, shoots his comrade in the trench heading middle to bottom, then backs off. They regroup and a few of them try to apparently render aid to the friendly they just shot. At least one Ukrainian looks either KIA or severely wounded but Wagner took much more losses. The original footage is much clearer with far less cuts. This is chopped-up and confusing footage if you didn't see the original.

In case you needed help the guys from the RIGHT/TOP/BOTTOM are Ukrainians forces. The guys from the LEFT moving right are WAGNER/RUSSIAN forces. As you can see at the crossroad part, the Russians advanced but took some casualties whereas the Ukrainians on all sides pulled back to better assess and defend or possibly move back to call in artillery

They have backos working 24/7 on most of them. Then they do them by hand. The ones in the woods are hand built 100%. They have satellite videos of trench systems outside Bahkmut it’s very impressive 2-3 mile long trenches.
