In a lot of ways, this conflict is like world war one in a modern theatre. A stalemate kill zone/line with brothers killing brothers for an extended period of time with no one really gaining ground or making progress, all because of a leaders desire for more power.
A number of concerns I have. The attention of America has been distracted first by Biden's poor performance in the debate with Trump, then Trump's terrible assassination attempt, then, Biden's standing down in the race, and finally VP Harris' rising star. I'm in Kramatorsk, Ukraine. I've been here five days so far. I've been to Kharkiv and Kupiansk. I've been to Odesa and of course, L'viv and Kyiv. While all of this is going on in America, which is so important, because we American must get this election right. However, whether President Biden, VP Harris, and the Joint Chief of Staff, along with Secs Blinken and Austin, and of course, the American people are focusing enough on what is going on here in Ukraine is concerning to me. It is close to two and a half years since putin started this illegal war. It seems that putin and russia are in a terrible position. However, the war has been tough on Ukrainians too. Whether it is dealing with the power outages in Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv and other places or the struggle to stay alive, whether soldier or civilian. Glide bombs even large that the first ones russian aimed at Ukrainian cities are taking a toll. The cities are large. There are so many buildings. The buildings are large. Russia cannot take Ukraine. The country is too large and the cities too formidable. Yet, Ukraine needs a couple things further as the F-16s are about to arrive. First, Ukraine needs to attack further inside russia, not just 100 miles in areas where russia is building up forces to further invade and occupy villages and cities of Ukraine. Secondly, Americans please you need to help Ukraine foundations and volunteer organizations that find supplies to deliver to soldiers, civilians and children. The individual soldier needs more help than what the government gives them as far as military pay, which is more per day, when they fight in battle zones. Foundations that provide assistance for on the ground organizations to supply medication, diapers and food for babies, and everything under the sky that soldiers need, beside bullets, shells and water. I am glad that former President Donald Trump was not killed; I am glad that President Biden will continue to work hard for the American people until his term ends, and I am glad that VP Harris has enough delegates for the Democratic nomination. Please, we must stay focused on putin and in supporting Ukraine in their defeat against russian colonialism and we cannot forget the russian atrocities they have committed, whether in the deaths of children, and civilians, and the destruction of property, including hospitals, schools, playgrounds, houses, businesses and infrastructure. May we never forget the Ukrainian soldiers who have fought, died and who will fight and die in this tragic war. I have been told by Ukrainians that all they want is to live their lives without war like most countries. Soldiers want America to help them end the war for the sake of their children and their parents. Slava Ukraine!
I wish it were going so well for Ukraine, but it is not? Ukraine needs more people in their army but seem not able to understand the urgency to meet the request for more recruits?! When a nation or people are unwilling to help themselves then it is a foregone conclusion as to the end result! Gotta have boots on the ground!
The difference between the wars entered into by US and Russia is the PURPOSE. US made war with some countries to stop them from being aggressive, brutal, adventurous, despotic, repressive, autocratic, terroristic, crime lord, etc. Whereas, Russia initiated wars to gain land, excert control and undue influence among the countries she invaded.
You left out the fact that America does not destroy whole cities and towns and villages… hospitals, schools infrastructure, power stations and water supply plants, to make the citizens freeze to death or not be able to live basically…. Russia is the scruge of the earth…
The situation is completely hopeless, no one will win this war, it will be as sad as the return of soldiers from Afghanistan in 1989, but the troops will still be on the border, it will be something similar to the border between North Korea and South Korea, there will be slight territorial changes, but in general the border will not change much. The next years will pass and nothing will come of it except more amputees and deaths. It will be like in Afghanistan in 1986-89, this will be the situation, i.e. the command and ordinary soldiers in Afghanistan knew perfectly well that this war could no longer be won. But the Kremlin and the Moscow television say something different, you also know what you know, but there is not much truth in it. So only losses. As I wrote, the USSR and the Russian Federation are just a list of huge errors and mistakes... But few people want to change anything, which means that the Russian person is still unhappy. A001
What is "winning"? Russia brutaly invaded Ukraine. Ukraine wants to consist. It is the aggressor Russia who wants to "win over" a smaller european neighbourcountry by waging an imperialistic war.

We need to increase military support by multiple times as Europe (even though UK "Brexited", a mistake if you ask me and also economists, but still we are Europe) and Trump must lose because otherwise in 2025 Russia will win, lets be honest, without US aid it will take maybe 6-9 months before they make substantial gains and even if we would somehow increase our spending to 50% of the US amount, trump still could say "no" to exports/sales of old US stocks (like thousands of bradleys which are in stock and 99% sure will never see service in the US military again, same with ATACMS and I think almost every american weapon/ammo....) and the Bradley is the best currently on the battlefield in Ukraine and we have nothing to really replace it and for sure not in large numbers, the french AMX 10 for example performed poorly, its so lightly armored that artillery fire not hiting the vehicle at all or even close still did cost the live of crew members as shrapnels penetrated the ultra-thin armor, I think a cal. 50/12.7mm rifle with AP ammo could cause damage and (very old) 14mm anti-tank rifles could for sure on a weak point, so the vehicle is only in reserve units or in units without real full-scale fighting (in the south or north-east of kiev), it has an impressive 105mm gun, but its protection is very weak and it is using tires, which means problems if you have no real road, French therefore calls it a "Reconnaissance vehicle", but a recon-vehicle usually doesn't need a 105mm gun. Drones, Drones....1 million per year of the ultra cheap ones, china is building for Russia and for the rest of the world/market (I mean there are an increasing number of civil drones) and there are countries like vietnam and many other asian/african countries who would be happy to get a large order or investment for a factory to produce very cheap parts for such drones, the more complex drones (with night-vision, only few of them kamikaze) could be build in Europe and we could use the parts from Vietnam or Malaysia, Egypt and just assemble the cheap importes parts in Europe while we should heavily increase European (and also US/Canadian) 155mm artillery shell production, even the US production in february 2022 and still today is far too low and in a heavy war (in Taiwan/Asia against China) the stocks would run low very fast... and Hungary/Slovakia still import oil and gas for over 250 million USD/month from Russia and now are crying because Ukraine blocked the deliveries from Lukoil via Ukrainian part of Druschba to Slovakia, Hungary (and Czech Republic, but they have alternatives, maybe a bit more expensive but they are pro-ukraine and this exemption is temporary so that they can reduce their addiction from russia, but they did exactly nothing...Putin must pay the highest possible (non nuclear war ofc) price for his attack on Ukraine!

The only thing I cant quite get my head around is that we see all these brilliant videos of the drones decimating the Russian forces, we hear about the 1,000 plus soldiers losing their lives every day and about how demoralised the surviving ones are and we see all the equipment being destroyed and yet, still they seem to be stealing more and more land! How?
