This course has been in the making for a long while, like close to one and a half years. It's the culmination of a lot of work on not only this course, but the executable itself, fuck.exe (partially hence the name)
The thing I'm most proud of is probably the entire 4th song, but holy crap there are some good moments in the whole thing. The hype from the silent stepping section and the haunted house jump (the one that switches to an U+D jump at the last second) was unparalleled.
The part in song 1 which keeps flipping and rotating is such a fuck, but the trick is always to look at the arrows that are scrolling up - after a rotation then a flip, the one that's scrolling reversed is always going to be flipped.
Songs 2-4 use actorproxy to display up to 6 playfields at once (and the 50fps flicker trick is used to create 8 using 4 during part of abandon)
There is a part in Song 3 where the audio goes completely silent and the players have to remember the rhythm and keep stepping. The player with the most fantastics at the end of this section will get 5 bonus % added to their score.
Here's the texture used to obscure the screen in Song 4: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2... this and the in-song boss sprite are drawn by / cosmiclaer ! go give her a like!
Song 4 uses some horrible actorframetexture trickery to freeze the screen, this fucked both players up considerably and it was wonderful. On one of the freezes, instead of showing the arrows, SHAME just laughs at you. It's a dick move, but you can actually see enough of what you have to hit next by looking at the bottom of the screen on the previous freeze ;)
The D-Pad mod in Song 4 uses player 1 for L+R and Player 2 for U+D, and rotates P1 90 degrees (unrotating the receptors and notes) to allow for true d-pad with arrows coming from whatever direction I want. I play around with this and make the arrows come from ANY ANGLE, then turn on the "zigzag" mod for extra trippyness. For some reason, something as simple as brake being added turns this into the worst thing ever, I can't even deal with it myself, but I'm pretty sure it's fair-ish...
The walking mod is the crowning achievement of move mods (so far - I'm sure they'll get lots more love in the future) - allowing me to move any column anywhere I want. I used movey to get the receptors to "jump", and timed an invert oscillator to make it so that they're jumping over each other. Brake here completes the look.
Oh, and in the ending, you die.
