Thumb Strumming
The simplest way to strum is using your thumb, which creates a soft and warm sound when playing chords
C Major Chord
To practice strumming, play the C major chord by pressing the third fret on the bottom string
Pointer Finger and Thumb Strumming
Another strumming technique is to pretend you're holding a pick and use the back of your pointer fingernail to strum down and your thumb to strum up
Using a Guitar Pick
You can also use a guitar pick for strumming, holding it between your pointer finger and thumb or using your pointer, middle, and thumb
Strumming Up and Down
Strumming up and down creates a more dynamic sound, and you can practice this by alternating between down and up strums with your pointer finger and thumb
Strumming Patterns
Experiment with different strumming patterns to create unique rhythms and sounds. In this video, we practice a simple down-down-up pattern
