I love this! Great review! You convinced me and just bought myself one! 😊

I think it is a great ukulele; with an added benefit of the Soundwave. Be sure to check back in and let me know how it works out for you. I think you are going to love it.

UkeStuff I love it so much! It’s even prettier in person! It’s a beautiful art work. So loud even without using the sound wave. But with the sound wave it’s even more fun to play! I think it’s money well spent. 😊

Thanks for checking back in. I like to know that others share my opinion about an instrument!

That's an interesting description of the "chorus" effect. I've never heard it explained that way but it makes a lot of sense. What a nice uke!

Really great review! I just installed a Flight Soundwave system in a Ohana SK-70WG! Really tight quarters as you can imagine in a soprano, but works wonderfully. I will be referring back to your review in the future since you are well acquainted with this system, and with Flight. Thank so much, Susa

I'd be terrified to install a Soundwave myself...I have a fear that the sides would crack like an egg. I'll see if you are posting to RU-vid...I'd love to see what the system sounds like in the Ohana!

@@UkeStuff I haven't made a video yet of the installation, but do have photos if there were a way to send them to you. It really wasn't too difficult, but a little tedious in a soprano! It sounds great. Maybe I can figure out how to record a short chord progression highlighting effects, and post it on Vimeo. (My RU-vid channel is mostly for my CSA survivor advocacy.) I don't have any specific recording equipment, so it probably wouldn't be too accurate.

@@UkeStuff I found your email address on your blog, and will send some photos of my installation. Meanwhile, I'll experiment with recording options that I have to share the sound with you.

This uke is on my list of ukes to add to my collection!

It is really a nice ukulele. It isn't your Kanile'a (what is), but what it is, is special and unique, only improved with the features of the Soundwave. If the neck were shaped just a little differently, I think I could live with it being my only ukulele...and that's saying something.

@@UkeStuff lol! Kanile'a is in it's own league, but I think this is still a cool uke to have.

Can I ask - I know they are very different but I am trying desperately to pick between this uke and the lava u. Do you have any opinions on the value for craftsmanship / the transacoustic systems on each?? Many thanks 😊
@UkeStuff

I love both companies, just for the record, and I interact with both and do some work directly for Flight. I sold my Nova with the AcousticPlus for two reasons. First, I hardly used it, and second, I have the Diana Soundwave, and the Soundwave with the solid wood top and laminate body is a better resonator than the Polycarbonate Enya Nova. Don't get me wrong...I still have every version of the Enya Nova (soprano, concert, and tenor) and I love the Nova U Concert. Love it. But the Diana is a whole next level of instrument...that does require some care as a solid top instrument.

@@UkeStuff thank you so much for the response! I really appreciate the insight and have been leaning towards the Diana for sure. Do you find the Diana slippery to hold at all? Looking and Lava, I have heard they are very tactile and easy to hold and keep a grip on. The gloss on the Diana is the #1 concern I have (+ not being able to control the delay speed but thats the not the end of the world really haha)

No problems holding it, though I do use strap buttons pretty regularly. Also...replies to replies do not show up in my feed and can be hard to track down...so in the future, feel free to leave a new comment on a video...that way I can see it! I was lucky that this was a recent comment!

Hi, Great review very informative. But can you tell me something? I bought the the tenor Diana Soundwave and I need to charge the battery but I have no idea how to charge it. Can you please share the mystery with me I miss the awesome sound she produces! 🎶😊 Thank you so much!
@UkeStuff
@UkeStuff 3 года назад
Hello! There is a charging cable that comes with the ukulele that plugs into a USB charger on one end and the output jack on the other! I hope that helps!

@@UkeStuff Thank you! It helps a lot. I didn't recieve the cord with my ukulele so I'll have to contact them. Thank you so much for answering me back I wouldn't have known I was missing something I greatly appreciate it!

What are your thoughts on the tone and the sound of the Diana, Sophia and Victoria. Which do you prefer?
@UkeStuff
@UkeStuff 3 года назад
I haven’t played the Sophia or Victoria models. I like cedar as a tone wood, so I ordered the Diana and it is wonderful ukulele. If you like Spruce, I would personally go with the Victoria because of the features (cutaway and armrest) not to mention overall looks-I prefer acacia over walnut (though both are laminate and the back/sides which probably has no impact on the tone). At some point, I’ll get a chance to play all of these (though not to review them) and will be able to give better advice. Again...I like cedar; but if I were buying Spruce, I’d go for the Victoria.
@petercho3396

@@UkeStuff Do you mind me asking why you like cedar over spruce? The only ukulele I played is a cheap laminated mahogany ukulele I bought from Amazon and I've never had in person experience with cedar nor spruce. It's hard to decide when I don't know anything.
@UkeStuff
@UkeStuff 3 года назад
I like the sound of the cedar...as well as the look. It's 100% personal and subjective. Spruce tends to be a little stark in color and very bright in tone; cedar is more mellow.

What is the Beethoven’s song that you played please?
@UkeStuff
@UkeStuff 3 года назад
Für Elise, by Beethoven. I play a modified version of the chord melody as arranged by Mike Lynch.
