@@BendigoAerial Pretty much identical. The one advantage the Ulanzi has is the variable brightness screen. The X5 is too dim to read in daylight. Not really a problem as I'm not going to do adjustments on the fly. I've done tons of trials and know my preferred settings.

How does this sync to your phone? Does it HAVE to be connected to it via the provided cables?

Connects to your phone via USB cable for the receiver. (Provided) The transmitter is wireless.

In mono, does it record one single mono track with both mics or does it create 2 mono tracks (one for each mic)? Is there a recording mode that does 2 tracks (one for each mic) ?? Without having to do the left/right "trick" in stereo mode. I'd like 2 centered mono tracks

Honestly, I don't know what happens when you use two consecutive microphones with mono tracks. I will need to test this.

Sound quality is great. I do have the DJI MIC and this thing is only $100. I didn't see how this connects to smart phone and no magnet, like the Newer, Fulaim for the same price. The adapter for the smart phone and the magnet is highly important for what I need. But this is still impressive for the price.

Spot on - I love it for the price. Connects to smartphone via USB or Lightning cable provided. No magnet though that I can see, but thanks for the reminder I might add a magnet to the clip. that would be handy.

I don't know about the 11. I have the 5, 6 and 7 and it works with the GoPro mic adaptor. If you have the GoPro MIC adaptor I don't see why not. But cant confirm.

How did you get the lav mic to connect to the transmitter? I plugged mine in and the audio only comes through the transmitter still

I'm using a rode wireless mic. That needs a road adaptor. Once connected you need to turn on the transmitter by switching it on. If not I believe it's still looking for the receiver.

I bought it for GoPro but I was disappointed when I attached the media mod the receiver covers the record button so I can not record it.😢

Not sure what a media mod is sorry - but you will need the GoPro MIC Adaptor from GoPro to connect any external audio to a GoPro camera.

Yes you shouldn't have any issues. Just remember to adjust the gain on your source so the music doesn't peak too high. 👍

I used the provided USB C cable to connect the mic to my computer. The computer picks it up as a drive and you should see all the files inside.

@@BendigoAerial Thanks, I tried that, but all it did was charge! I kept looking for it to ppop up as an external drive. I'm on a Mac, maybe thats my issue.. Appreciate it!

@@studioatlanta Try a different USB cable with data transfer. Your 100% right, I just tried it and it only charged. But when I used a different USB C cable, my own it worked. The cable needs to be able to transfer data.

None that I know off on board the mic. I noticed the raw audio even with the windshield picks up noise. Which I cleaned out in Adobe easily.

1. Make sure you use a data USB cable to connect to your PC. NOt a charging USB cable. 2. When you connect the USB to the cable you need to press the "on" button on the transmitter this enables the port open. Then the computer picks it up as a hard disk. A part from that I have no other solutions sorry.

From the individual microphone? Just a USB to your computer. Otherwise, the recording will be in your camera or recording device used for the recording.

Sorry Android user here, did you use the provided cable? If so, try your own cable. Although I do prefer mono recording for my video edits. Will test on my phone and let you know.

@@BendigoAerial I am using the provided cable. Provided cable are both end with two ring on the pin. Someone told me need those with one end with 3 ring on the pin but I am not sure about it

@@booshipvideo5513 Thats right 1 is generally mono, 2 is stereo. Your best bet is to google "Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter" fairly cheap then connect the microphone to it.

THE AUDIO IS SATURATED AS HELL on my camera. Can not control it, the control system is terrible. Good looking mic that does not work well.

Yeah I'm not sure about your issue. I have a canon camera and I set it to manual and set the audio to -6DB. No issue with the audio. I also add presets in adobe and bump it up with the compressor.
