I really love that you can separate the mixer out with the USB C cable. I built a travel case for the Atem Mini Extreme over on my channel and that was a wiring nightmare, this would have been awesome for that travel case. I had to run HDMI extensions from the ports to the side of the case, with this switcher, I could have just have that part visible through a hatch. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I’d love to win this and use it! I’m just starting out and don’t have much other than my phone and GoPro. I haven’t done any RU-vid lives but I have done TikTok. Love your videos as well. Very informative and not crazy long. Great way to keep people to the end!
i’m trying to think of the last time i legit looked at my sprolink on board screen lol but this will be a good starting point for a lot of beginners out there. where was this when we were buying cam links lol
what a cool device, really unique form factor I like what they're doing. I have 2 setups 1 for streaming just chatting etc, 1 for Djing this would allow me to have the control unit at my desk when I'm filming from there and to move it to the other setup when I need to I think this is awesome for studios with multiple setups and allows you to be flexible by bringing the control unit to the different setups (though you would need a really long cable I think)
It would also work well with a product such as the Yolobox Ultra, in which you switch between cameras on the Ulanzi and send the feed via HDMI to the Yolobox Ultra's HDMI 1 and then add graphics and such and lower the workload on the Yolobox.
I like the separate control surface but that’s about all (I wonder if an Ethernet usb extender would work between control head and input box?). It’s missing recording, playback, supersource, remote software, audio meters and streaming capabilities. For £50 more you can have an Osee Duet with all of those features plus 4 sdi inputs. It looks like their target market for this is gaming streamers and not mobile video producers. I’ll be interested in seeing where they go with it in future though but they’ll need to keep an eye on their pricing in comparison to the rest of the switcher market otherwise they won’t sell many units.
Impressive. Is there additional software for this so you can change the size of PiP and add another transitions? Because if not it's kinde steep price.
Can it pass through 4K HDR 120hz+? Thats my biggest issue with the Atem Mini at the moment and I just end up using a capture card for the PS5 and Computer because of that.
Funny little thing but they all have one common problem. There is always a PGM out ( Program output ) that can be set to multi view. So it's always one or the other. Very few if not none of them has a multi view and a program out. Blackmagic can now be set to a program out on the HDMI and a multi view on the USB but it's not ideal to use.
Osee GoStream deck and duet allows usb multiview too, but it does affect the stream and recording out too so you end up with a multiview recording, I stream via a Live U Solo so that’s no problem.
If I understand correctly, there is no button to do an auto cross fade, correct? Meaning, you must use the T-bar to cross face, right? If that's the case, that's definitely a deal breaker and a reason not to get this unit. But I'm hoping that I am wrong.
just as far as my experience with other switchers, i rarely look at the screen on the unit, but i suppose it depends on what you use it for. but would love to know which switcher you are using, or which one you would be more interested in . thanks for stopping by
