He is actually playing every thing you hear, the assumption of James is correct, he is creating his own loops via guitar pedal. The awesomeness here is how tight he is keeping time to overlap them in such precise way to the point that they feel programmed . Cheers for every one for proficiently playing their instruments on this level of professionalism.
this is so tight. unbelievable thats only 3 guys from NZ. not to mention the drummer... thats a weapon of mass destruction. holy crap that setlist is killer check out the german word "weltschmerz" to know what ULCERATE is all about
Is nobody going to mention the fact Michael is using a Les Paul for "Awaiting Recession"? Like, an avant-garde tech-death band using a standard Les Paul? I'm not complaining, I'm just simply amazed.
saw them for the first time like 4 years ago in a small venue on a last minute show for approx. $ 3 entrance fee. paid $ 5 though and never regretted it.
@@lolyermad Take a look at Portal, Coma Cluster Void, Serpent Column, Primitive Man, Altarage, Mitochondrion, Impetuous Ritual... just a few recommendations off the top of my head. Most of these are cavernous/disso death metal, some have black and math influences like Coma Cluster Void and Serpent Column
the guitars are way too low, if I didn't know the tracks I would've been lost like those people in the crowd, otherwise, good set. I love Ulcerate. One of my top 3 favorite bands of all time since I discovered their music \m/
piixiie1337 perfect band...complexity,agression,brutality,speed,odd time signatures, dissonance, memorable, atmosphere, best songwriting i mean fucking beautiful!!!
Honestly some people just like to get lost in the sound this guys make, don't get me wrong, i like some moshing when i feel like it, but the way you apreciate this music is obviously different. Personally i love this band and i would love to see them live, maybe i would be more focused listening and watching them rather than jumping around and punching people.
not really a moshing band. It is annoying how people insist on starting a mosh at every metal show I go to, metal is versatile and sometimes you just want to stand there and feel it. Its a personal experience for some
