When I hear this voice, I feel like I am in another world. I am sadder than I have ever heard in my life. Every time I hear this voice, I feel as if I am depressed.
This song feels like the last desperate pleas after nihilism finally takes its grasp. The slow burn of life finally fizzles out, leaving only the ash of something that once was. The final sad attempt at overcoming yourself but ultimately succumbing to it.
For me it sounds like peace, harmony in nature connecting with the human spirit. Making the soul an powerful being, a conqueror of misery and zeroness.

Intro and epilogue sound scary, the rest is mysterious yet deeply tranquil. Like anxiety from dying and tranquil rest of death itself... It reminds me of Death of Ophelia painting by Millais too.
This sounds like depression. No more pain, because you've become completely numb from it. Tranquil, yet apathethic. Sounds seem like they're coming from far away, muted, because you've retreated deeply into your inner world. You find solace in the safe coccoon, but no fulfillment, nor hope. Like a maundering ghost, moving from place to place without a goal or a point, dreaming life instead of living it. The little flickers of light piercing through the darkness is the only thing you can appreciate.
I also found this in ZONE and that was the most mesmerizing short film I have ever seen. I would love to have this on Spotify and I'll bet others would too.
To all the people saying this song sounds like depression or sounds miserable, I would like to offer a different interpretation. To me, these sounds speak of great pain, indescribable pain, yet also of the strength to endure it. It is the man who suffers without complaining, who carries the burdens of others without expecting anything in return, who has been through the worst this world has to offer and yet continues on unabated. There's something very hopeful about that.

I'm half roman, half german. My ancestors were both german warriors and valuable romans. I can assure you that ancient romans weren't the enemies of the traditions of their subject. On the contrary, they were very respectful of every Gods and traditions (of course, they wanted to subject the land, but not destroy the people and the culture). The real enemy was Christ and his message of a single god, a single law, a single religion.
