Uli Jon Roth- In Conversation 

Uli has such an effortless looking playing style.

Good to see Uli smiling and hear him laughing. It's good to hear some new pieces on what I've seen and heard too. Metamorphosis. Prologue and Under a Dark Sky. It's been a while. Yet, I love to hear him rock along the lines of Electric Sun and the Scorpions and even a Hendrix tune too.

Scorpions unintentionally more or less were so ahead of their time.. some would say that beatles or eagles did that but man you can literally hear a rare kind of blend, something so unconventional and untamed in the way Roth used to have his voice in the tracks. It's like they did a 'featuring' from within the members of the band like when you can also hear Rudolf sing as well in the records. I mean what a provilidge to have such chronicle! The guitarist alone and the guitarist,vocalist of a band blending their voices in such a unique way as they did in their record albums.

Nice interview, Joseph! You laid back and let Uli go for it, always the best way to chat with a cool cat. I’m much more familiar with his Scorpions work than his solo career. That is something that I will have to rectify in the near future. “Sails of Charon” and other seventies Scorpions songs are still stellar, but far lesser known to the general public than their eighties fare.
