There are 2 DGPT regulars that competed in several of the tourneys I did this year, including shotgun c tier. At least 5 world champions, including 2 MPO were in at least one shotgun c tier I did. Their sponsors posted their place on FB the next week for those events.

Two things, the only thing I can think of in the reference to the D-tier tournament is originally for 2024 they were going to bring back D tiers, But those would be am only, no PDGA membership required, with the idea that they would be a way to bring new players into tournaments, and everything C tier and higher was going to require an active PDGA membership, also in hopes that this would increase the number of memberships, and it backfired big time. There were all kinds of complaints from players and a TDs, and they ended up completely reversing his decision and keeping the divisions the way they are, so maybe this person didn't realize that and thought D tiers were still going to be a thing? But even that wouldn't really make sense since those events were not going to have MPO divisions. And in regards to Drew, yeah that was a pretty dumb take so hopefully that was just some smack talk and not being serious.

I love Drew, but that's a weak take. At times, though, it's really hard to tell when Drew's serious and when he's taking the piss out of you.

Paul nicely said, Drew likes to stir the pot and talk out of his ass. Prolific winner isn’t reserved for those that win the most Worlds, majors, etc. It is for those that have won many times. You win 100 or more and that is prolific.

honestly if you want to compare disc golf to other sports, dont compare a pro playing a sanctioned C-tier to destroying high schoolers. compare a pro playing a C-tier to ACTUALLY destroying high schoolers.

If Drew was competing weekly, I'd accept his hot take. But he's not, so he needs to stop bagging on people who are making a living at disc golf and winning tournaments. He can't win himself, so he has to do the whole "sour grapes" thing and dump on other pro's wins.

Drew wants so bad to be a villain but you have to be a winner to be a good villain. If you don’t have the high tier wins to back it up, you just come across as a dipshit. There is a major difference between being a disliked player on tour and a villain. Right now he’s just becoming more disliked.
