I saw yesterday Swanlake from Bolshoi with Zakharova from 2015 on a big screen at a Filmfestival.. with all my Respekt for Svetlana Zakharova but Uliana Lopatkina is Breathtaking and in her own league..
Lopatkina is the Ultimate Ballerina with unique musicality, acting abilities and great articulation in her dancing when in a role. Zakharova is overacting mostly, the same reason why I don’t like Khoreva much… a lot of pretend and affect, not embodying a character…
Staggeringly beautiful, haunting, and cinematic ending to this fabulous version. Love the choreography, staging, and chemistry between these two. I am in tears watching this. Thank you so much for posting!
Her arms dance too. Such beauty and movement the joy i have watching her i cannot describe .i am from England and oh i wish i wish i could have seen her dance. The best dancer i have ever seen.
Still prefer the ending where they have to kill themselves to break the spell, but this made a lot more dramatic sense to me than most versions of this ending I've seen. OK, I'm in tears, I admit it.
Well that's a version I haven't seen before. They live?! Okay! Happy ending, why not. The wing being ripped off was a bit macabre but then... the double suicide version is pretty dark, too lol
Without the Sorcerer, they would not be story. He is the key of it. And here, Andrey Ermakov is exceptionnal in this role . He's now Principal of the Mariinski Theatre...⭐️
She’s a nice dancer but that’s all she’s doing. Dancing. There’s no emotion, not acting. Especially when Odette returns to the lake, absolutely destroyed and broken hearted. I can’t see that anywhere. She doesn’t give life to her role very much.
