Franzensbad (called Františkovy Lázně) is in the Czech Republic close to the border with Saxony and Bavaria. It used to be part of the Sudetenland which was annected by Germany according to the Munich Aggreement in 1938. After that, right hand traffic was introduced. The video shows the Volkswagen with its happy passengers going at the right hand side making the video an extraordinary document dating between spring and summer 1939. WWII brought an end to happy motoring in Germany so far. What might have happened to our happy couple a couple of month later? - war sucks.
