Norway's voting system broke down when we were supposed to vote for the top 4 (the golden finale), so a jury of 30 people chose the finalists. People were hella pissed that this viking-themed dude (Rein Alexander) didn't make it. That's probably some of the reason

Its sad she didnt get the chance to perform this beautiful song on the ESC stage though (written together with Kjetil Mørland Norway 2015 and Christian Ingebrigtse from A1) ☹️

@@Biglew380 as someone who's grown up with abusive parents, I see the "attention" she wants as those crumbs of love and tiny instances of affection she gets between episodes of abuse and neglect. the strong feelings of fear and hurt make the moments of love feel extremely strong and that's precisely what makes abusive relationships so "addicting" and hard to leave. the (small) good moments between abuse can also make you doubt yourself - they're not abusive all the time (and might even try to make amends and give promises) so is the problem really in me? abusive relationships are never abusive 100% of the time and that's something not everybody knows about. you should google the "cycle of abuse" if you want to find out more about this

Zach Priddy Ulrikke dreamt of this since she was little and she was soo happy when she won MGP and so excited to go to Rotterdam. Feel so sorry for her, its sad we wont see her with this beautiful song. I think it’s a bit mean actually of EBU to dont go around the rules this one time and let the contestants who was supposed to perform in May do that next year. Its not fair to them at all. I am Norwegian and I would love for Ulrikke to represent us next year. Instead of a normal national final it could be fex two semi finals where Ulrikke performed 5 songs in each semi (either songs she has written herself or by other Norwegian songwriters) and then 2 or 3 songs (voted by fans) would advance to the final. In the final she will then perform these 4 or 6 songs and the most popular song will be the song she will represent Norway with in ESC 2021. That way we will have a kind of national final and Ulrikke gets what she deserves.

In any case this stage is excellent! She can easily win the jury and be top 5 in the televote. I love this performance because it's live and she slays!

Tbh as a norwegian, she can sing good, but the lyrics are questionable. This is something the Jury will notice, but we’ll have to hope for the voting system again as always.

The biggest problem about this 'staging' is because we all know that in early years of Eurovision, they didn't needed the staging and there was only song the one who decides who'll win. But now... You need perfect staging with lightshow, it actually doesn't matter if the song is good. And the problem is that realising those songs before the show is very bad. Why? Because a lot of people are promoting their song and the winner is a lot of times now decided politically. Let's say... We, in Slovenia, we've got no chance to win 'couse we're to small... It's complicated.

Many Europeans have made it quite clear in the comments that they do not want Americans anywhere near their song contest. I'm ok with us just being spectators. Scrap Wolféo that great but the problem with Eurovision is you need a song that instantly hooks you and well holds your attention, and I personally think this song does that, but from your comment if more need time to love it it will not do especially well. Because most people that are not Eurovision hardcore fans hear the song in the final at Eurovision. Can be a problem but lets hope not🙂

@@maa1649 For last year songs like " soldi " or " arcade " it took me time to like them and in the final they were 2nd and 1st ! So my opinion doesn't really count ! Plus this song is really great, for me to like a song I need to understand the message and at first I didn't understand it but now that I have it I enjoy listening to the song !
