I like putting frozen pizza straight onto the middle tray of my oven. Right after preheating it to 450! About 7-8 minutes and it's perfect.

I had a week to produce 15 Stalingrad type ruins for a 40K game. I knew it was going to be a mess, pva, black paint, grey paint, gravel and sand, bits of coffee stirrer, airbrushing, then the clean up. All to be done in the kitchen. This was not just one building discreetly made but a whole production line. It was all done over a week between 10.30 pm and up to 2am some nights. And Mrs B to this day does not know that it all happened in her lovely kitchen.

Hmmm... as a person who lived most of my life in tundra, I would say that ice is not really white nor blue. It is transparent, just like water, but also reflecting colours from environment just like water does: sky may be blue, and therefore sea may look blue. I never seen ice with turquoise shades on it, but I believe you can see such on ice near sea (and sky), which have similar colour. In environment where I'm from, frozen lakes and rivers very are dark blue, almost black (there is very little light coming back from water under the ice). Cracks on ice have white colour, and I believe that snow is white because it is ice full of cracks. This all does not mean, that ice with turquoise shade is wrong or anything, but it means, that that ice is probably near open sea.... So colour of ice depend on environment they are in. If you would have blood lake under the ice (even if the ice itself would be only water), the ice would probably be in red colour (although probably in almost black). Where such could be? Let say there is battle under ice, and some one or something is bleeding in the water, that blood would be seen through the ice... but there is quite little light under water, especially if most of ice is covered by snow. You can test this probably at home, if you have freezer, and some kind of ice cube molds. If you put these ice cubes to black drink/liquid, they look like they are black. If you add them to yellow liquid/drink, they look like yellow. Etc. (I am roughly from 68th parallel north). (PS. I tried to investigate what is "mod podge"... Since search engines in these days are quite horrible - or no one in internet knows what it is, I tried to guess. Since some places which sells that "mod podge" seems to call it as "varnish glue", I tried to search other "glue varnish", but not many of such things seems to be sold. However, some sellers say that "art medium" can be used as "glue varnish", I wonder how similar or different they might be..? Just saying, that A) mod podge is not sold in every where, and B) it seems that lot of crafting people use it, and expect others just know what it is - or just find such thing...)

As a fellow crafter I want to say bravo - that is some really realistic looking ice, I love it!

This zoned approach to terrain also works really well for The One Ring TTRPG combat encounters where there aren't movement rules per se. Instead, characters have stances which determine if they're ranged (opening volleys in One Ring parlance) or in melee (close quarters in One Ring parlance)

LOVE the Frozen Pizza. But it's not for Frostgrave as it is a skirmish game for 2-4 players on a 3X3 square play area with city ruins that are setup as part of the setup rules. But it is still a great setup for tabletop RPG's. Waiting to be able to go to Ikea to get a large lazy-susan. (sexist term maybe, but that is what they call it here!) The links you mentioned in the video are missing Also, for ice, adding a thick layer of gloss polyeurethane varnish before the snow paste would upgrade the look. I'd also suggest going with the vallejo snow ground texture rather than the GW option, it's close to the same stuff, but far cheaper for a lot more.

The fact that you have a cymbal just lying around, makes this even cooler. ;)

looks similar to my arctic terrain... I ended up using a pearlescent white to get a shimmer, and I coated mine in a clear glitter sealer ( for just a little sparkle when the light hits it)

Is this coated or sealed with anything protective? Or just left as-is?
