Late nights in the gym in Germany after shooting The Last Kumite all day. Make sure to pre-order this soon-to-be martial arts classic! US Amazon amzn.to/3PS1HiW UK Amazon tinyurl.com/mrkkjx8n Germany Amazon: amzn.to/3wPZ2zz
This was while I was filming The Last Minute in Germany. My bicep is recovered though mostly and I started doing body weight pullups again finally a couple weeks ago
I definitely agree that having big biceps is important in action movies especially western American action movies including non martial arts movies like the gun slinging flicks; having that physicality convinces the audience that a guy on the screen can be a force to be reckoned with.
All I could think about while watching this was "tapping my feet". This is what opponents did to Bruce Lee whenever they wanted to challenge him in the streets. This is what I'd be doing inside that gym If I saw this guy.
I can see the peaks, but where are the freaks? At the moment Samurai has a 33 1/3 percent chance of looking like Steiner, at best. You see, the numbers don't lie and they spell disaster!
I think that you know my opinion on yours, and not just yours, pumped physic. But I also thought that to motivate yourself to workout people usually use heavy music on the background to listen to. Not that I'm working out, cause I see no point in it in my 30, but as a metalhead I have few playlists of heavy music. Not just on my phone and computer, but also on youtube. And what I would recommend from that list is just few tracks by Austrian Death Machine, called "Don't be lazy" and "No Pain, No Gain". They have music videos here on youtube, if you are interested. Also, you should invite Arnold Schwarzenegger to rate your physic AND also for the interview. Because, you had on your channel a lot of people, but only few of them are famous. So maybe inviting Terminator himself would be great idea.
Since you did a summary of Yun Fat's foray in US flicks like The Replacement Killers the other mistake that was made beside him not speaking good English & though still tall & commanding in that US movie even though in his Asian movies back in the day he looked like a giant since a lot of the Asians in his Hong Kong flicks were on the shorter side, in his US debut he never put in effort to work on having bigger biceps & culturally in the US having big biceps is important for an action star of any type. It's not necessarily about creating interest from women, but even the guys feel that when another guy has bigger biceps it comes across as being formidable because even I noticed back in the day when I worked out even guys who barely knew me acknowledged that I must work out since I had ok biceps & in shape. Also Yun Fat not having a steamy scene with Mira Sorvino in my opinion neutered him & his aura of masculinity in his 1st US film. I like to use the analogy that success in anything whether the success of movies or anything else is like cooking where all of the ingredients & techniques need to be right to create a great dish.
