One thing I have not mentioned in the video is the value of slash/strike conditioning + shirking fortification. It is ok to drop health for conditionings and shirking fort in itself can be a super useful perk (when you have it on multiple pieces). Ultimately, this is what I play at the moment and there are multiple variations you can play depending on your playstyle. TLDR: Don't sleep on conditioning perks
hello Mika, Ive been following your bruiser advices since always. Now I'm on a company that doesn´t let me war if iI have no grit ward on my gear, right now im using 4x slash cond, 4x freedom, 4x shirk fort, 1x gravv well; what they say is that shirk fort is very bad right now, is that true?
@@rosa.celeste funnily enough, they are wrong. The reason they tell you it is bad is because it can be removed by void gauntlet, however what they don't know is how easy it is to operate on max stacks. Some of the best bruisers in the game play shirking fort at the moment, it is not bad at all. In contrary I also don't value grit ward as much anymore, but perhaps worth mentioning in another video :P
Positive in OPR cache... I have a friend who just got back, and he got his in the box, and all the artifacts that you missed in the previous battle pass, u will get in the opr cache.
Nobody mentioned the Syncretic Armor set which have grit ward and Slash protection perk , and you can upgrade the third perk with freedom, is it better than Frigid armor set?
empower breaker is pretty trash. Another defensive like a slash cond is miles better. Many times when doing proper combo's you'll hit empower cap (especially in war with cleanses and oblivs). invig punish >>> purifying heart. Can't cleanse the rend from deto or else it would probably be bis. invig punish is just more damage (skirts empower cap) good video tho. lots of good info
I run it over a defensive perk due to personal preference (as point player you tank all the debufs so you never really operate on full emp cap unless you are clensed)
@MiKalol if you use cleanse pots properly, and have the right gems in your weapons (Jasper on Hammer), you'll basically always be at empower cap. "Personal Preference" is an interesting way to say "My skill level is not high enough to play the proper build"
i literally play in the best companies in the game. Jasper is not worth it at all at the moment as you do not get deto ticks from runeglass as it is bugged at the moment. Onyx or malachite with a tick are far superior options at the moment. Interesting way to say "you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about" if you think you always operate on empower cap and never while diseased@@natehiggers42069
@MiKalol its okay, man. I understand you needed to make some content. You should just warn people that it's not for any type of serious gameplay and is for casuals and roleplayers. No company worth a dam at all would slot you if you weren't a RU-vidr. Your takes here are just objectively wrong. Its okay to be a social slot, but just tell people upfront that you dont know what you're talking about. At least then, you'd be honest.
Nice guide. I play tank role but... maybe u can put malachite has an option to weapon. Tumbler with a great Lucky can drop at opr caches to me is more consistente at clumps.
When watching your war VOD, I noticed that you end up dodging a lot of attacks just incidentally but are often low-ish on health. Is Shirking Heals not worth slapping in there?
I heavily disagree, i don't remember the last time I died in war and was like... damn too much slash damage, imo it is something that never kills you. Its a good 2ndary option but health still outweighs it heavily imo.@@sirbam4435
@MiKalol are any of your current companies looking for players? Me and some friends have played the game since release and want to join a company thats actively warring.
good job on a guide but damn am tierd of new builds and almsot free gear (and the magnify most the worst thing i seen in 7k+ hours i do really hate it). If it was not for magnfy i woujld still be playing and jsut spaming out builds from both kiln and max crafting but you always end up with this freaking magnify.
The build will shine with a pocket healer and realistically in 1v1 situations you will most likely lose to most dps builds however as soon as you encounter larger scale fights this is one of the strongest builds in the game
Argh... What a pitty. I'm in need of a guid solo player pvp build for 1v1 or 1v2. Would be great if you could do one hehe. Anyway, thanks for your vids, very helpful.@@MiKalol
Never brought attunement up but ill sum it up for u Thwart strikes, refmove, maelstrom on ga, Plague strikes, trench strikes, shock hammer. From gere you can replace and deviate as you prefer
Attunement is not that good, You can only proc one attun on an enemy. 2 people hit a enemy with attun only one will register. Shirking damage for melee is better.
@@MikaRS yeah i watched your whole video. Even more often. Still learning from you. Great video no matter. But like the Attunement there are things i cant get a grasp at. but the comment below educated me about it.
Pretty sure pueifying heart doesnt cleanse the dubuff you get when you pop det. However ive heard lots of conflicting opinions. Has anyone actually tested it in here?
@willcrow2846 For Detonate, the rend is part of the ability. It is not a debuff. It works with vines because vines actually applies a debuff after you activate it.
Regen serums grant stamina and GA has a built in stam recovery on the skill tree. In a meta where everyone nukes the point at once the protection is better off. You just can't dodge twice in a row.
Love the video but I’m concerned you are way over empower cap which is 50%. 7% Honing 15% Tumblers 5-15% Greed 15% Frustration 15% Empower Breaker 3-30% Maulers Furry If you confident about not being over capped excessively then you should call it out so a bunch of people don’t start empowering themselves to oblivion.
Very good point but id rather guarantee working on emp cap 100% of the time than sometimes yes if that makes sense. As i said gloves u can swap it out i rarely die so I like to maximise my dps output
The thing is, you take in account his empower, but not the weaken enemies do, 27% Maelstorm, 20% Shield Rush, 15% Oblivion, 10% + Flail. You are a lot of the time under lot of debuff pressure, I would agree that its probably not the case when you are using your cleanse, but most of the time, you are "ok"
Very different choices from what I have been seeing on my server. First of all, bruisers are mostly playing Heavy. Is it really worth to play medium nowadays? That is my main concern. The only problem I see with using all 4 pieces of the Frigid Dawn set + Artifact (Tumbler Feetwraps, Void Darkplate or Djinn) is that you gotta play 300 + 300 instead of 250 + 350, but the benefits of the new set are probably superior to that. Do you mind sharing your thoughts on it, Mika? Lastly, thank you for the video! Great content!
There is space for heavy bruisers but I already feel unkillable in med. Med is also a lot more aggro and provides more dodges and more damage. However full frigid set is quite decent so not a bad choice
Truly depends where you play. I've bruised in heavy and medium and both feel good. Heavy is only worth it if you use darkplate imo. Medium is probably better because your survivability is still so good!
Empowering breaker is literally a waste of a perk, with the maulers tree your at empower cap for your deto’s anyway. Grit ward leaves you dead or dieing on the declump, purifying heart dosent cleanse the deto rend, slash conditioning over health, as health offers nothing with a healer, enchanted ward is bad for a point bruiser as how often are you just getting smacked with auto’s…… either the EU meta is wildly different or im horrendously wrong. But to me this isnt a bruiser guide aimed at wars, just opr casuals who will hit trees and rocks more than the enemy team.
@@kadum1726 Tumblers feetwraps, 4x freedom, 2x ele aversion, 2-3 slash con. 1-2 strike, instiable grav perk, anything else fill with refreshing then health. Gems are server meta dependent, same with t5 absorb pot.
as many people pointed out here, it seems you made this guide with your personal opinions and without looking at actuals stats, health on armor as a pocket healed player is..... yea idk what you on about but so many weird choices that do not reflect the meta at all. your gameplay and pocket healer are obviously S tier but these gear choices are definatly not what i would recomend to anybody lmao. and NOWHERE near BIS
Do you know how many people I destroy on a daily basis who use copy paste builds from RU-vid screaming about ‘best in slot’ gear?…. With my random wonky build and gear perks I chose myself? Following the ‘meta’ and what everyone else is doing just makes you 100 percent predictable and defendable against in game. To try and dis on this guy for not following everyone else’s lead is bird brain activity :)
Heavily disagree with you. When playing 350 con grit ward is literally the best perk as the uptime is permanent unless you are a bad player. Health over conditioning due to regenerating + avoiding one hit deto combos. Freedom is a must. Conditioning is good sub for health however and something I should have mentioned, also yhe reason for pinned comment
@@Tinkiebuttyou're an idiot. Meta is "meta@c for a reason. Not because its "popular", but because everyone has done the proper analysis and decided that certain things are actually the best. If you want to play off meta stuff that's fine, but youll never get slotted in wRs by serious players. The top companies and players aren't the top for no reason.....
@MiKalol same thing as the rest of the comments section...lolol. This is a decent guide for casual players and people who aren't interested in warring, but this build guide has several incredibly sus choices
