Based on my experience randoms don't look neither the map or the modifier, only the gamemode. And when they realise they have picked Edgar on timed detonation (even if it's Heist)...
that's why you ban edgar in almost anything to prevent this 😅 Spens guide is too high of a level for 95% of the player base. Most players don't understand lanes and matchups. My gem grab games never end with one person on the gems that about tells you the story and I am almost legendary rank.
I generally go by the following, If my team has 1st pick I ban strong brawlers that I don't like to play/ brawlers I have low level that ARE strong on the map If I don't have 1st pick I just nerf the busted ones
Rosa is a solid last pick on split, you can plant bush on the left lane and use healing sp to heal up. And also she got hypercharge which makes her even better
This does help alot, I will even have it printed next to me when I play ranked, but I have to argue that colt in bounty classic maps except from excel is a great pick in my list. I think he did not include him because its high skill but you get so much value if you play good with magnum special and speedloader in shooting star. If enemy has throwers on hideout preferably silver bullet.
My best tip for Diamond and lower Mythic ranks would be to ban comfort picks. Edgar, Spike and Fang ban rules out a lot. Many players only have so many brawlers Level 11 and those are mostly the same. Leon, Crow, Fang, Spike, Piper, Edgar and a couple others. There really isn't that many. So take them out of their comfort zone/picks and they won't know what to do/pick.
video suggestion - technique on evading long range brawlers with different projectiles, handling agro brawlers like Edgar ( not counter brawlers). even if you talk about counter brawlers you can mention techniques and tips to use counters efficiently. and what happens after you run out of gadgets. and how much damage is acceptable damage before retreating tips and tricks basically
In Quickfire, with the slowing star power as soon as you land the first hit they are dead. You're basicially stuck in place as Gale rains attacks on you non-stop and I'd argue he's better then all the others even Gene after the nerf
My problem with ranked is playing with randoms, every time I have big friend my teammates never pick 8 bit or meg or any tank for that matter. And I can't cause I'm scrapping around trying to get 8 bit to power 9 and unlock meg
This is just my personal opinion, but Nani is busted on Goalkeeper's Dream(the completely open brawl ball map) too. She can really counter the squishy long rangers on the map, and outrange throwers
Lola I repeat, Lola Extremely underrated and can play this on long range maps even if you are low skill and have a slight delay due to ping or phone performance JUST TRY IT you will fall in love with it

As a angelo main he is very good on maps that piper is good on just ban either piper or nani. Jump gadget is so good into like fang or edgar. I just dont recommend into heist nit enough dmg
Piper in my opinion is s tier in quick fire as with the star power of gain 50% ammo after hitting a shot with quick fire gives her a full shot back after she hits one like quick fire before it got nerfed
