Just started the video and got to clay process. After recently doing a full paint correction (followed by ceramic coating, etc) on my 911, I have to admit, the clay bar process is so satisfying when you feel the “grit” over the first pass or 2 and then it is buttery smooth after that. The tactical difference is amazing!!

Esteban had 1. The best environment in which to have His car polished and protected. 2. Had two of the best teachers to train Him how to polish and protect all elements of His car. Thanks Jay! What was talking about the Flex battery powered cordless D/A polisher compared to the Milwaukee M18 15mm polisher that he uses. He wasn't referring to the 3401 (if he did say 3401 he simply confused model numbers), as the 3401 is a direct drive (forced rotation) corded model, and yeah that thing never stalls, it's a beast hehe.

I use a prep but wash it with warm water and dishwashingsoap before prep and coating.. ///Gyeon Style! I think its the best way to go. No dust Or crap left on the car in the cracks etc. Fun to see you guys together! Have a nice day from Sweden! 😃👍

Another Spot on, Pan the man. Everything you do is pure gold. HOWEVER... I've noticed you don't use personal protection (mask) while spraying the products. They are aggressive chemicals, not meant to be inhaled by the user in closed space. You, as a professional probably use them more than an average Joe so I would recommend some kind of heavy duty mask and goggles just to be on a safe side.

I wear nitrile gloves in my videos (unfortunately Matt didn’t have any at his garage) and wearing a mask on camera isn’t the best for talking and recording. When I apply coatings off camera, I wear a mask. Thanks for watching!

I would love to see you guys or Pan work on a car that has been paint corrected and is ceramic coated and is now a year old. For example I have a black Camaro that has a coating now a year old. I have a few scratches a few rock marks on splitter and a few other marks. All minor but noticeable. I don’t know what to do except take it back to my detailed at some point. But I watch all your videos and I am learning. Also like to see more on how to maintain as I am confused on what product to use. Love your channel and I think it’s cool you we’re in Helen. Hopefully you saw some sights.

Thanks Josue! The way to reduce dusting when polishing is to blow or clean your pads often, change pads after every other panel, and use compounds/polishes that produce little or zero dusting. I got a few questions, not necessarly related to the video: I´ve seen you videos about the 303 grephene nano spray coating, both the review and the vs with turtle wax seal n´shine. When you apply this product, do you also have to dispose of the microfiber towels you use to level the product like you do with a ceramic coating? Do they crystalize aswell? And can the coating be topped with some product to boost it? If so, what are your recommendations? Some silica spray sealent like Carpro Reload? Or the graphene protection is enough? I'm not sure about Gtechniq CSL on glass, Gtechniq doesn't specify if it can be used on glass. All they say officially on their instructions is: "Avoid direct application to plastic trims, rubbers and hard plastics." Matt has tested Gtechniq Exo on glass, and it works well. On the windshield, we used the Wolf's Nano Glass Sealant. Thanks for watching!

Hey Pan! Another amazing video! Got a newer bmw (2021 x3m in black) that I purchased used and it's got very light swirls, and a shoddy ceramic coating. I don't need to compound, I think just polish due to the very light defects. What would you suggest for polishing and pads for the defect and ceramic coating removal? Many thanks for your feedback.

Keep in mind that polishing will remove your coating. So you’ll have to reapply a coating afterwards. Sonax Perfect Finish with a Rupes yellow foam pad should be enough to remove your existing ceramic coating and correct minor paint defects that you say you have. If you work outside, make sure to never work in direct sunlight when polishing or applying a coating. Work in the shade, on a cool surface, ideally more towards the end of the day, or really early in the morning.

So Pan - you prime a microfiber pad with a good amount of product to coat the fibers. Then get to work. How often am I blowing out the pad, and do I need to re-prime since I blew off the product?

Everyone works differently. I like to clean or blow pads out after each panel. And after two panels or so, I change to a new pad. Working with clean pads is key to a good polishing experience.

Hey Pan. Great video, I just had some questions. So I just got my Acura RSX repainted black and ceramic coated with CarPro CQuartz. I am not going to have any access to indoor storage, so the car will be sitting in my driveway (no tree covering/shade). My detailer left me instructions on maintaining it, but how can I ensure that my paint lasts as long as possible? Any worries I should have with dew/condensation? Would a soft car cover be an option? This is my first new paint job so I am fairly new to detailing/paint upkeep. I want to make sure I can take care of it as best I can, especially since I live in California where it does get hot in the summers. Thanks!

Hi Jacob. First, when having a car repainted, it's crucial to not apply any protection on the paint for at least 1 to 2 months, as there needs to be a gassing out phase to complete and for the paint to fully cure. So I hope you waited at least 1 month before having your car coated. Do you know what CQuartz coating your detailer used? Did he apply a hyper slick top coat like CarPro Gliss 2.0 on top of the coating, to help prevent water spotting as much as possible? Usually, you would apply 2 layers of CQUartz UK 3.0 and 1 layer of Gliss 2.0 For maintenance, once every 2 or 3 months, it's important to apply a silica spray sealant to maintain the performance and properties. In the case of CarPro, they have their Reload spray perfect for maintenance. After a new coating is apply, it's important to not expose the vehicle to water or rain for the first 24 hours. And don't wash the car for the first two weeks after getting a new coating. I was talking to Gtechniq and was surprised that they told me they do not recommend using EXOv4 after I coated my car with Ultra. They said for garage kept, weekend drivers Exo was fine but for more regularly driven vehicles or vehicles not garage kept that they no longer recommend Exo because there will be more swirls and love marks introduced since Exo is softer.

Great video, Pan! I use Perl, but never thought about using it in my engine bay. Can you confirm that all you do is spray it onto the wet, but clean engine bay, then just let it air dry? A buddy of mine just showed me some pictures of his 330i engine bay where he used Koch Chemie Motorplast. He said that after cleaning everything, he just sprayed it on and let it air dry. Looked amazing! Seems like you use Perl the same way.

Yes that is how we used it here, like MotorPlast. Once it dries, if you see any streaks, just lightly buff with a dry microfiber towel.

No as I haven't really encountered issues with customers. Keep in mind detailing is not my main source of income, so has never been my official "job". So although I have customers, I am able to select which ones I want to deal with, and what cars I want to detail, which makes this a lot more fun and zero stress that way.

I have cleaned the doors with the brush drill piece along with a normal brush with some good stain removal chemicals and heavy duty all purpose cleaner.once the door dried it still dirty and clearly visible that the drirt is still on there.please help how do I get them completely off. Hard to say as I have never dealt with a car that was underwater. Also, I can't see the car in person, and don't know what caused your stains. So you'll have to do trial and error troubleshooting at this point. One thing is for sure, when using heavy APCs on the interior parts, you have to neutralize the cleaner after use, if not, it will cause staining on the plastics. To neutralize, you go over the surface with a microfiber towel that's damp with just water. Also, perhaps try an interior scrub pad like an AutoFiber Scrub Ninja, along with a good interior cleaner like P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner.

Hi Pan, Great video I really enjoyed watching the real time transformation and teamwork. I already have the Avalon King ceramic coating on my car. However I have to park in the driveway and here in Florida USA most homes like mine have sprinkler systems. Water spotting is a real issue for me. Is it possible to apply Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating as a topper? Would it help? Or do you have another suggestion?

Yes you could apply it on top of your existing coating. But regular washing is what will help with water spotting. Or applying a topper meant to help reduce water spotting like CarPro Gliss 2.0

But there would be no point in discussing pricing for such a detail job anyways, as prices fluctuate greatly based on many factors including geography/location. A job like this doesn’t cost the same in Montreal vs Toronto vs New York or Paris for example. Your best option is to see what services and prices professional detailers in your area offer and adjust accordingly to be competitive.
