I love your videos!! I went back home a couple years ago to visit family and had a chance to see el nido and felll in love with the island.. I'm coming back in a few months.. i'm gonna keep watching el nido trips and hopefully find an idea of what to do next time!!! keep doing great things!

The intro is amusing, used to hear gecko sounds in our house before. You were funny when you got bitten by ants, you should've gone to the water immediately. LOL. El Nido is pretty amazing, when we were there last year, I took a lot of pictures, every corner is Instagram worthy.Try climbing the Matinloc Shrine since it's not as tricky as Taraw cliff if you're still in Palawan. You'll love the view. Enjoy!
You can buy those Rayban glasess for $1 in Manila lol. Those are imitation/fake rayban glasses most probably made in China. But it is worth it because its almost the same as the real one. lol but not heavy duty so you have to handle it with care so that it will not be destroyed in one fall to the floor lol.
Those large orange-red ants are weaver ants, native to tropical Asia. Their bites hurt like hell, almost like a bee sting, and they're very aggressive. They nest in leaves of trees, including coconuts. If you see a large ball of leaves stuck together with what seems to be webs in Southeast Asia, avoid it like you would avoid a beehive. Those are their nests (it's the reason they're called "weaver" ants).
the most beautiful beach in the phils is amanpulo beach in pamalican island between boracay and coron. 6 kilometers of white sand beach. the problem is it is a luxury beach resort only affordable by rich people like hollywood celebrities.

The large ants are called "pala" here in iloilo. And they are usually found on trees. They might came down with that coconut lumber. "Pala" are large ants with a very painful bite. 😟
I'm pretty sure whoever wrote that graffiti wasn't referring to tourists. Tourism is basically the only source of income for the town, besides subsistence fishing. There's a natural gas field offshore but the national government takes much, if not all, of the pie. Must be something personal. Like lazy ass family.
There's a cross. Maybe it's referring to the Catholic Church? XD But yeah, unless there are similar graffiti nearby clarifying who they hate, it's probably just random teens. The communist rebels who do sometimes leave propaganda graffiti, aren't exactly vague about who they hate (the government and multinational corporations). And even then, they leave civilians (local or foreign) alone.
Probably referring to western occupation or influence (Spanish colonial, America). Guess some traditional Pinoy still feel strongly about it. Great vids FinnSnow.

It's a type of red ants. Somewhat related to fire ants and they are bad ass.They leave a nasty bite marks. When I was young I learned that they used those ants as a way of punishment in the old days.I think when you steal they will tie you to an ant hill and let the ants bite you. I'm sure it's very painful when you were bitten by one or two ants imagine how it feels if the entire ant colony bite you at the same time. It will kill you. Just to let you know. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful place. Yeah, those ants are no joke, as me how I know. I've lived in Florida. If ya ever visit Florida, don't wear those flip flops in the grass, just saying😬😂🤣😫😩😡😠They'll swarm ya so fast!!!
