Emeka, go to Tolo. Ask for Jimmy at the ForgtMeNot Hotel. You will have the best time. He will show you the best restaurants in the area. We are near Ancient Argos, Epidavros, Mycaneas, and Nafplio. I’m telling you, you will love it! Have fun in Naxos. Try horseback riding on the beaches. Beautiful! Your Greek is awesome. ❤️

I am here to comment about the fish. He did explain to you how to eat it ,but you didnt get it and thats alright. You have to open the fish from the side so one side is left boneless, while the other side has the main bone left. So you take the main bone out and boom you have two fish fillets without any bones . Hope you see this for the future if you eat fish again . Love from Greece .

uhhhhh really, but how do you open the fish with a tiny knife, you need big samurai sword to cut open the fish like a filet. That is impossible my advice just eat the fish with the bones, i always crush the bones and swallow it. how do other fish eat fish in the sea they just eat it, they don t cut the fish first and eat. how does lion eat there prey just killed and eat it with bones

octopus is good to be like that (chewy) because if it's really soft that means it is overcooked and tasteless. The portion for 2 people is small for the price , usually the portions are bigger than that.

Btw you guys should try this boat trip it’s a bunch of fisherman that do trips around the island and the caves. It’s called “gialitissa boat trips”. You will not be disappointed!

If you care for another suggestion, I would tell you to go to Lesvos. They are the masters of "Saganaki" cheese and tge island is famous for many things, including their Petrified Forest. Molyvos (a tourist area/village in the island) is also a very beautiful place to visit, especially in the summer. Not only it is very beautiful and scenic, but it also has some very shallow beaches, you can walk like 300 feet away from the beach and the water level is still at your knees. Very beautiful island to visit (no, I'm not from there).

It's a MUST for amazing food experiences to visit Thessaloniki+Chalkidiki (Armenistis camping/beach)and of course Crete!!!!!!! Three places you will never forget in your life!!!! Hello, sir! Pita giros is the best of the best fast food in Greece! The salad that the seafood dish has, is cabbage, carrot, red pepper, maybe it also has celery. It is often named "spiciness" (pi-ka-ndi-ki) because of the fermented cabbage It is very tasty! You are the best!! 💯👍

PS aside of my other comment here. I have been to Naxos myself. And I can make some recommendations. There is a wonderful cheese tasting there closeby close to the sea in a shop that is wonderful. An incredible cheese tasting experience. Naxian cheeses are famous Its called NAXOS CHEESE KOUFOPOULOS If youre in Naxos still, it's recommended. Also I have always eaten incredible things at the restaurant called: "To Elliniko restaurant." It's 4.8 stars and not too far away for walking. Maybe 5 min. I have eaten wonderfully there always. I often ate Fava there, Pantzarosalata there and then a pita pie of the day. So a pie of the day. I ate like their chicken pie, mushroom pie, other pies. I l-ov-e-d it. I can recommend you to try the things I mentioned. And ofcourse anything else there is wonderful too.

Cretan food is the absolute best in the world. The studies conducted on Mediterranean food is from Crete only. The other Mediterranean use this scientific fame to sell their products. Crete has over 500 indigenous plants found no where else on the planet. It is a hotspot for the pharmaceutical industry. Naxos is a small Crete influenced by Cretans for centuries. The Cyclades islands in general have been influenced by the Cretans for millennia. Next time you are in Crete, you need to visit areas where very few tourists go in order to have authentic Cretan food. That said, Naxos is beautiful as is all of Greece. Greeks in general are really good people and the country is simply stunning. It is what the US was back in the 60’s and early 70’s when the American dream existed.
