Amazing video. This is exactly what I was looking for. Lots of other TO:R content creators try to insist you look at the game the way that they do. I appreciate the objective coverage. Above all, great energy. Well thought out and excellent delivery.
Note that on the explanation of Lawful Neutral Chaotic he says good neutral evil but that's actually untrue. Lawful means that follows the rules. If your superior gives you an evil order, you will carry it out regardless. In fact the lawful path in this game starts with a pretty evil choice. You can be Chaotic Good or Lawful Evil.
You can get like 5 points of strength amongst other things (vitality, hitpoints, etc.) out of the right answers. Imagine how many cards you have to pick up for that. Denim is mostly melee anyway so min maxing from the get go for Greatsword / Spear damage output. As far as element goes you pick the one that matches your hadoukens. Those are things you read unless you enjoy going in blind. Well I don't. Wind for Dagger Berserker Wind or Lighting for Greatsword TK Water for Whips Lighting for Spears Fire for Bow, Crossbow, Fists and Hammer (and Katana?) Earth for the Axe and Spellbook Ice for Swords Blowguns have a variety and staves kinda suck Light and Dark benefit Staves, Swords the former and Katana and some other junk weapon the latter. But you can swap elements later on as well.
Once again, a lightning archer will be worthless against a water knight, but a lightning berserker or mage for example. . . Also water is more powerful in rain on a waterscale day. Element is far more important. Light on sunny days and dark as well as lightning during cloudy weather for example. Denim is a blank canas at the start, not at all melee focused. I have a roll with 100 base intelligence at level 10 which is absurd. If you use element only for spells and finishing moves you are not optimizing at all. Also green cards are not guaranteed and can only be obtained in story battles for more than ten hours. Plus magic leaves are expensive and not available for purchase until much later. Since mp gradually accrues over time, relying on mp spending attacks is also a losing strategy.
@@optimusgrime8265 You gain MP from attacking or taking hits too but no, you also pick the useful classes. There are repeatable maps (and one or two money exploits that are probably going to get fixed) so money for items is not that big of a deal I think. Early on maybe since you cannot farm then. Berserker is a damage powerhouse with the right skills later on, so is the TK with a Great Sword due to his debuffs. Archers are good against squishies or debuffed enemies (even Knights) or they deal status effects, Ninjas too. Knights are tanks and used to block movement. Rune Fencer / Valkyrie is pretty useful overall due to element boost, spears and they also make good archers (better movement). Unless you exploit the weather or the months the elements aren't that big of a deal cause weather is mostly random, but they enhance the special attacks, spells, elemental weapons etc. Denim is a blank slate which is true, but going the magic route with Denim is not ideal IMO. It's game over when he dies. Melee classes are more suited to him, like Great Sword Warrior => TK, Berserker, Knight (Vit + Res) or Rune Fencer (good MP) into Lord as soon as possible for the insane growth rates. Lord inhabits the other classes he unlocked to that point (which you can repeat later on) so Lord is king I think. Good bye Catiua :D I don't think the element does affect stat growth but base classes do. asvel.github.io/tacticsogre/growths (this is in chinese but it's Reborn specific, use google translate to translate the page) Warrior ain't all bad (esp. with a 2h Sword) and Vartans are pretty sick as most of the rare or unique classes.
@@HelmutKohlrabi I really didn't want spoilers in the comment section, but oh well. NOTE: You can change the weather at any time with items. You can also use classes in unique ways, for example a ninja who started as mage, give it a hammer that charms and a crossbow that petrifies. Then make it rain or get cloudy, match element, now one character can hit 3X for approximately 200 damage. Anythin else can be turned or frozen, all from distance. It it increases defense to 1 damage received and nerfs accuracy for anything attacking. It can wear heavy armor and has massive resistance. Change element based on enemy. Now you have a single unit that is god tier very early. And that's just one job. Once again, please no more spoilers. And try my suggestion, you might be surprised.
Do you know anything about the luck stat? P.s. your videos are great. You should be a content writer/editor for other creators to make them more visible-money. This will allow you to grow your career.
If you know anyone that has need of a writer please let me know. Thank you as well for seeing that quality in me and looking out for another human being, most people would not. Much respect.
It's a wonderful game and I highly recommend it if you love turn based role playing. Thank you also for commenting, very few actually do and it really helps grow the channel.
Is this review about a patched version of the game? I've just watched another in-depth review video of the release version that said cards for skills and elemental changes are rather easy to come by and the reviewer was never lacking or had to grind, which is a drastic difference to what's being stated in this video.
This is not a review. This is just an in depth look at the mechanics of the game. You could finish a main story without grinding if you are fairly decent at the game, but I really doubt you will get through all of the side content without at least a fair amount of proper team building.
Playing with a party full of Valkyries and Rune fencers. Auto battle all the way up to the end of chapter 3 with (almost) no problems expect some specific situations. Using the best gear crafting can offer. P.s damn so many technicalities this game has...but never explain them...such a shame..
