I’ve got plenty of none perishable foods, 45 - 5 gallon water jugs, a 3 stage reverse osmosis system, plenty of grains, and enough to sustain a family of four for two years. What I’m working on is communication, ham radio and reliable one way radios. Security system check, everything else is in line! 👍🏻🍺
The problem with bunkers is that you spent money for them to just sit their unused. This happens as much today as it did to all those unused bunkers during the cold war. Build an underground home you use now, with small and limited windows with southern exposure that can be closed up and sealed from outside threats. Design it right, it'll still be well hidden from passers-by, and will still be your home.
That is a great idea. I know a lot of people that use them for their pew pews and food storage as well. But you're right, you could drop a lot of money and it just sit there and collect dust
I've seen some that have a stairway right underneath the island in the middle of the kitchen pretty cool spot plus you can just stroll down the stairs while listen to the radio!
Just got asked how to make a cheapish bunker quickly so here you go. You can knock a small personal bunker up in a couple of days on above ground one, if desperate use a container with square steel box section tube and extra steel sheets welded to sides and roof and cover with earth. Use a hydroponic fan and carbon filter for nbc equivalent air filtration, ibc water storage tanks, power station and deployable after event fold out solar panels 400w, you can even put a shower and toilet with macerator in to pump outside to soakaway crates or bury an ibc as a cesspit. Water pump, hot water cylinder, led lighting and fan can all run off power station along with rice cooker and microwave. Chuck some bunk beds in there and a laptop. At the end of the container using steel tube and steel sheet create L shape tunnel entrance and using soil over top and piled up against sides you have a quick makeshift bunker. The steel box section and sheet provide extra strength to stop the sides and roof caving in as containers are very thin steel. The soil provides protection from fallout. A 40ft high cube container can provide enough room for 4 people to comfortable live for 14+ days.
Sounds like you've got a solid plan for a quick setup! Using a container is a smart and efficient choice, especially with the additions for strength and safety. The setup with the hydroponic fan and carbon filter is a great idea for air filtration. It's impressive how much you can fit into a 40ft container-shower, toilet, and even a kitchen space! The L-shaped tunnel entrance is a clever safety feature too. Have you built one of these yourself, or are you planning to? Would love to hear more about your experience or plans!
@reliableprepper I build bunkers for a living, uk nuke shelters. We build them buried out of steel sheet and tube, then cover in concrete with reinforcing mesh. Add in a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or 2, water storage between bunker and tunnel, power system, air filtration system etc. We do build above ground out of double skinned steel sheet and tube with concrete pumped into between the steel skins. We work to what budget people have and how many people they want to shelter, so sometimes we have to get creative to keep within budget. We also offer advice to those who want to do it themselves.
Howdy Archie! Are you just kind of making a funny comment? Or do you legitimately have credentials and you legitimately build bunkers? Just wondering because I meet all walks of life on here and I'm all about building contacts
If you going to use a container for a bunker build an exoskeleton around it before you put it underground, If you can get a Altas The best budget friendly one around. :) If you have a basement you can build one down there too. just look around how to do it, and get you a Air system from Atlas and a water purification system too. food for you family at least two to four years. ! FYI. Build away from the city too.
Great advice! Reviewing fallout maps is crucial for anyone planning to build or establish a bug-out location. Understanding potential fallout zones can help you choose a safe and strategic spot, ensuring long-term safety and sustainability. Do you have any recommended resources or specific maps that have been particularly useful for this purpose? It would be great to share those with others who might be looking into similar preparations.
great video brother, I put a comment on where to find a reputable bunker company in USA but YT deleted that comment hmmm..... I seems they don't want this info shared.
It is crazy that RU-vid scrubs comments. I think now that you mention it there might be a section where they put comments for me to review that they might view questionable? Let me look into this and see if I'm right about that

I don't want to go in a bunker and survive while my many younger family members, all my loved ones perish! What is the point if you survive but everyone that you care about and cherish pass. I would rather my grand nephews and nieces survived, if possible. One has to be realistic. Do you really want to be a sole survivor while all of your family perishes? What is the point then?
that's why we encourage them to get on board with prepping, if not sad to say but you can't save everyone, or try to save those who didn't want to participate, sure I'd miss them terribly but as I said can't save em all especially if they don't want to get on board when there's a little time left.
I know one type of 'bunker' That's especially useful for a lot of people in the Midwest. Tornado shelters. I know myself I've had to be in a tornado shelter a couple of times. That might be where I get some of my prepping desires from. My grandfather had a relatively large tornado shelter and he always had it stocked full of food and supplies.
