The timing on some of these are absolutely brutal. The first Sniper one feels like you have to solve some kind of eldritch puzzle to make it work. Every video I've seen of people completing it, for some reason, their AI companions absolutely mop up and actually kill things, whereas mine kinda just fire randomly and leave everything to me.
I’ve done about 80% of the trials so far and that one I had to redo the most. I had the best luck when I used the melta bomb to take out as many enemies as possible instead of concentrating on using it on an elite or two.
@Soccerstud8719 yeah I eventually got it by being super counter intuitive. I set the bomb right as the first wave spawned and took them out then ran back, killed the elite and picked up my guy, stealthed and ran back for the other guy. For whatever reason this had both of them use their abilities and stay in range of enemies and actually clean house. Still felt like RNG for the two AI to actually pick up kills or not deciding if you win.
@@ragunaraiden run forward. Stealth just as the first group aggros you. Let him fight as you take off to the second guy. Rez him as stealth ends. Fight your way back towards the middle. Melta bomb for maximum kills. Best way I know to do it.
@LiracyonLeague usually when I did that the first guy would just keep trying to melee everything which as a heavy does very little... I had to revive them in reverse order and they cleaned house. Honestly this entire trial is reliant on your two ai buddies actually doing some work because you can't do it all yourself
I hate how I started with the Tactical and thought the others would be just as hard. Everyone elses are easy but the Tactical trials you just cant make any mistake at all or itll cost you
I’m convinced they didn’t play test these at all. Some just straight up aren’t achievable by 99% of the player base just because they make the time so short in some of them
I don't think much thought went into these trials, if i'm being honest. It's like they just picked the same time limit for most of them, without thinking about what needed to be done to meet those time limits.

The crazy thing about these trails is if you complete it right at the 40 second mark or a couple seconds before it doesn't count because the timer keeps going after you kill the last enemy for 2 seconds.
If you get unlucky with Tactical, the Warrior won't use his special attacks so you have to perfect dodge or parry his normal attacks. As for Bulwark, I completed the second trial in 134 seconds, still counted as 120. People keep saying Vanguard is the easiest, I never had to restart on Assault, all you do is fly around and kill the elites

After beating the campaign and all Operations I decided to do these trials. I saw the reflection of a defeated man in my screen after trying some of these.

Damn. *I've managed to complete ALL trials with an A rating....... EXCEPT for the first Tactical trial* Can't manage to go lower than 43 seconds on this one (didn't have any issue for the other two Tactical trials). EDIT: Just managed to pass it.
Appreciate the assist. Some of these felt almost luck based. Very glad that they're over with. If we ever get a new class in the future I hope the trials won't be as brutal
On assault how are you getting across that pit to the last group (16:00)? It will not let me aim past the edge of the hole to the other side and I can only land on the starting side. Multiple tries and I just cannot aim across.
@@Victor-dh6hc Yeah, after playing more I am finding at times my char will stop responding to keys for short times. Not sure if this is what you are seeing but to jetpack you have to have the yellow aiming circle visible and you need to have a charge of the jetpack. The look on the special can be confusing too as sometimes it can look like you have one but are actually still on cooldown. Not sure what that is about.
Hi thanks this was very helpful. I have a question though. With the sniper first trial am i doing something wrong or is it a glitch that keeps happening were more keep spawning and they don't stop spawning? I have tried this 12 times over a week and nothing. It keeps happening.
Not gonna lie I set my difficulty to easy for the campaign and it worked like a charm. 52 secs completed for snipers first trial. enemies much easier to kill. I think that might be part of why it feels hard.
I couldnt do the first tactical trial, first vanguard trial, and first sniper trial i feel like we should at least get an achievement for getting gold on all of them especially since the first tac trial is really hard on controller
What really bugs me is that tactical is my best class in pve. Yet on the trials i cant do anything right. I miss keyboard and mouse just for this or atleast improved aim assist.
idk assault was easy went in to do tacticals and this video is nice but it doesnt help that the ai just does whatever first trial the first warrior takes me 20-30 bc it just non stop attacks and the lictor in the final runs away before i can even do anything its kinda fucking stupid and annoying
The final trial for bulwark is bugged for me, it says to shield bash ten enemies. I’ve done it like 6 times and it won’t give me the reward. I guess I don’t need the reward, just annoying.
Oh sure when he does it the minors on the other platform for tactical just die on their own but for me they're perfectly fine. these trials are luck based fucking garbage
