I have four Mini and given the size and layout of our place, I don't see a reason to replace them with the big HomePod as the sound is more than acceptable for me.
I had one mini for like a month then snatched another and it made a nice lil difference. So 200 for 2 mini it’s cool for my iPad. I jus cant drop that 6 n sum change for 2 HP2’s. Nice vid👌🏾
Dude! I never knew the song handoff worked from the HomePod to the iPhone. Thanks! I bought a pair of the big 2nd Gens but I actually think my 1st Gen HomePod pair sounds a little better.
No problem!! Really cool feature! Yeah i LOVE my stereo pair, i have a big one in my recording room & then another in my bathroom for when i shower, I like to have mini concerts lol Thanks for watching!
I have the first gen, love it the sound is amazing and fills the house. I probably won’t get the new one but the HomePod is great in general, if pricey.
Have two mini with my AppleTv and honestly was blown away with how the sound. The bass on the HomePod 2 isn’t enough to warrant the price. It does of course sound better. But still the price just isn’t worth it. The mini stereo setup is the way to go for me
i just got my first window door sensor from eve and now also have my first homepod mini to get notifications sent to my iphone and i love it. i dont think the 299 price is good enough its a bit much and apple should know to be working on making siri better instead and also apple tv as they are behind.
I too have the OG and it’s not going anywhere (unless a burglar takes it ;-}… added a mini for upstairs and use it nightly for the “ambient” sounds when I go to sleep. If I would run into a cheap(er) OG I may add it. Obviously (?) I use the OG for my TV (I don’t have cable TV) and am a bit annoyed when I use “regular” TV with old school antenna & it uses the TV speaker ;-/ Great video Juan, as always thanks.
I saw in other videos that pairing 2 HomePod 2 speakers interferes with its immersive audio and calibration features - So although you CAN physically do it you probably wouldn't want to.
Great video, you did a perfect job comparing! At 11:56 you talk about stereo pairing the 2nd gen with the mini, with the I didn’t think you could do that? Also, does two HPM’s in stereo mode provide a similar range of bass compared to one HP gen 2?
You can use the HomePods as your standard TV speakers with an AppleTV 4K and then activate the HomePods mini i addition so that you hear synchronised sound from all 4 speakers at the same time. And no: the bass of 2 HPM isn’t as good or better than 1 HomePod 2, it’s the other way round.
