What I like the most about your setup is that as a result of deviating from the expensive solutions seen all across RU-vid, and instead looking at simple IKEA components, it absolutely stands out as original and creative. Great work!
@@hikeskool Maybe if that's what you're looking up, but in my experience after randomly watching a couple of desk setup videos, my recommendations are now 90% hyper-expensive setups, where the desk shelf alone is the order of hundreds dollars. Why shouldn't I leave my opinion? You're welcome to yours, as long as you don't insinuate mine is invalid just based on your individual experience, which is as valid as mine.
Just curious do you own a pc? Ive been thinking about buying one for work because the macbook o have right now isnt that good and ive heard its pretty good
Thank you👊 I got the Alex drawers a while back so I’m guessing they have discontinued that colour. Don’t really understand why they’ve done that🤦♂️ the new grey-turquoise colour might still work well. Seems to be the only dark option they’re offering right now
Great setup! Where does the table top sit on? I mean, is there a specific product from IKEA which is suitable with the table top, or did you manage it by yourself?
I have a leg in the middle of the desk to prevent this happening. IKEA sell this table top with pre installed holes in the middle so you can attach a leg easily👍
Thats a smart setup bro. How did you manage to fix the LACK shelf on the table? Screwed them or used some adhesive ? is it sturdy enough to handle minor shakes to the table?
Thanks, I was thinking of returning my 14 and get the 16.. however it makes sense to have the small 14 and a big monitor. Seems to be best of both worlds. I find the 14 a bit too small for photo editing without a monitor attached @@NicoSDemitri
I was on about the desk itself not the things on it😂😂 Studio Display is definitely not budget friendly… unless you compare it to the £6000 Pro Display XDR🤣
Already had them but I didn’t have any kind of desk setup. Wanted something where I could show off the products on the channel but didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. This IKEA setup was the perfect solution!
Well if you consider how limited the market is in terms of 5K displays. Just the build quality of the studio display alone makes it the best value for money display by far
First of all, love the aesthetics of this setup. Secondly, you mention that the horizontal scroll wheel on the MX master is one of the reasons why you love that mouse compared to the Apple Magic Mouse, but the Magic Mouse does the horizontal scrolling too -- I would even say that the scrolling experience on the Magic Mouse is better due to being buttery smooth. To me, the MX Master is great because of better ergonomics and the customizable buttons. Otherwise, great video!
😭😭 feel like I should’ve made it clear that it’s the actual desk and space that is budget friendly. I had all the tech prior to the setup being put together and I wanted a space for it all without spending loads of money on furniture and decor. Think I’ve managed to do it all only spending hundreds as opposed to thousands.
I purchased it from Waterstones, not sure whether they sell it anymore, can’t find it online. I am looking at changing it to this one though… oakywood.shop/en-uk/products/felt-cork-desk-mat
