So originally Julie Pierce wasn't planned to be in season 6 due to her pregnancy but because of the writer strike , I think it's given her time to finally be prepared to join the cast
She's not torys mother. Julie Pierce will not be in Cobra Kai. She will not be in any karate kid projects. The next karate kid is a one and done movie.
Super video! Sometimes you wonder how much "unused" footage they shooted😱 the writers never failed to give every season nice surprises. So we can be assured their are great moments to come! That is something I have been wishing for a long time. Especially since the dojo he represented Locust Valley Karate had its students compete in both All Valley Tournaments on Cobra Kai.
Julie could really be of help for Tory and also Sam. Julie was both a bad girl like Tory, but inwardly sweet more like Sam. Julie would absolutely bridge them. I can also see Julie training Sam hard and potentially getting injured somehow, and Sam could possibly have to fight since the writers could orchestrate Sam becoming 18, and becoming fully grown. I don’t see Julie heavily involved with Devin.
Even if they add Julie, I don't see how that alone will make Tory Julie's business. There is some dynamic that must be developed between these two and I don't know if there is enough time left for this to happen. So, I'm really looking forward to see how the scriptwriters will correct something that looks like a huge mistake.
Maybe Daniel uncovers info about Julie Pierce in Miyagi's chest of secrets and reaches out to her for anything she might know. One thing I do find interesting is that one of the teams competing in the tournament is called "Falchia Della Notte". That translates to Night Hawks. If Julie DID have a team competing, I'm guessing that would be the one (considering her affinity for hawks).
Dutch has not returned either. I heard, although Chad McQueen originally said he wasn't coming back for CK, he's changed his mind and decided he's open to it.
The reason Julie didn't get to fight in the tournament, is there was no girl division. I liked the next karate kid. Of course I love the first three more. Thinking back now, I love that Hollywood then didn't make it a big deal Julie is a woman. Nowadays that plus someone's race&sexuality is all Hollywood can talk about. I miss those days.
Here's what I think will happen in the remaining parts of season 6: 1. Demitri will die in the tournament at the hands of a Cobra Kai fighter. Yaz and Moon will be there. Yaz will try to comfort Demitri as he dies. He will tell her that she made all of his dreams come true. 2. Demitri's death will motivate Hawk to run wild in his fight with the same Cobra Kai fighter. He will win (and perhaps kill) that fighter, This victory will get Robbie to the finals against the top Cobra Kai fighter. Moon won't like Hawk's extreme violence (and neither will Daniel). They will split up for a while. When they return home, Hawk will apply to MIT to honor Demitri's memory. Moon will forgive Hawk for what he did in the tournament. 3. Robbie wins the finals, showing mercy to the top Cobra Kai fighter. 4. Another dojo will injure Devon Lee, making Sam fight a lot more than expected. Tory will hurt many of her opponents. Sam and Tory in the finals; Tory wins, but does not injure Sam. This upsets Kreese, leading to Tory's second split from Cobra Kai. Kreese loses control again, assaulting Tory. Robbie (maybe Johnny?) whips Kreese's ass. Miagi do has Tory back.
You have some awesome predictions but I don't really think that Demetri would die and I don't think that Tory would hurt the people she's fighting against But I think 4. Might happen
Some obvious routes to tie Julie back in... Mr. Miyagi's letters to Yukie. It seems unlikely to me that he wouldn't write about his student to Yukie. Chozen's romantic subplot makes it seem likely that we'll see Kumiko again, opening this option up further. A second option is Paul Dugan, whose army background leaves a big opening to tie in with Kreese, Silver, and even possibly Kim Sun-Yung. An even wilder connection idea drawing on the army background: what if he is actually Johnny's father (nothing says that Dugan couldn't be a name change, assumed, or even that Lawrence wasn't one of these). Bringing Dugan in could even trigger Kumiko's memory of a letter, tying these two strings together. One other obvious route for Julie directly: what if Daniel isn't the only Miyagi-Do entry in the tournament.
There’s a great movie from 1997 called The Negotiator starring Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. I totally recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it to do so it’s great. Anyway there’s a scene in that movie that deals with a person lying and the main character explains how a person looking up and to the left is accessing memory. A person looking up and to the right is engaging their creative side of their brain is an indicator of lying. When Hillary is asked that question she does look up and to the left at first but she switches to looking to the right the moment before she answers which by the logic of that movie says she is probably lying haha.

OF COURSE she's in in season 6...lol these guys(producers) are ultimate KK fans and they went out of their way to include TNKK in that. It's all fair game. They revel in fanwank. It's good fw, but it's still loaded with fan wank. Julie's appearance is the ultimate fw.
Maybe I missed it but what makes you say there is “evidence” that Julie visited LA and trained with Daniel? I’ve never seen anything that confirms or even implies the two ever met.
Haven't seen anyone come up with this theory. Maybe a post tournament or post-credit surprise appearance. Demetri is attending MIT in Boston (maybe Hawk, too), and they talked about it way too much during the season for it to be quickly dismissed. Julie Pierce lives in Boston, so they hearing about or joining her dojo could make sense. Could be a way to spin off the series, too.
Although I never really took The Next Karate Kid seriously and watched it as a comedy, I enjoyed seeing Mr. Miyagi and Julie wasn't a bad character. I really hope she can come back. Also since Miyagi Do is named for the family, now that it is mixed with Daniel and Johnny's styles, maybe they will go with LawRuso-Do.
I think there's some Clues probably in the series already that we would be seeing her that we have somehow missed though on top of all of your valid points and I can't put my finger on it and it's not just the Practical aspects. But in any case, Say what you will about The Next Karate Kid, but the chemistry between Hilary Swank and Pat Morita was off the charts not to mention there's nothing wrong with the characters. It was the plot and the villains mostly that stunk so did Julie's love interest he was terrible. Poor Hillary having to act with a wet noodle like that. There's a lot of good stuff there and a lot of people really adore Julie Pierce. I believe this fully includes all of the producers and it was clear from the beginning that they were including it in their canvas so of course she's going to show up. Especially now that they for sure had the opportunity to do so. If you can follow the news over the last several years, Hilary Swank has made several comments and her schedule has been full it's never mshed well well with Cobra Kai's schedule. There is no way around the fact it was going to take several years to integrate the character simply because of that, but as you point out it certainly seems to be the narrative. It was obviously going to take several years to fit her in and I think they wouldn't have tried to really narratively bring her in until the 5th or 6th season on purpose so your video has an enormous amount of valid points that really can't be argued especially based on the producers behaviors. Of course she's going to be in it.
Terry Silver (who's still pretty youthful) needs a good woman (who's also a karate sensei) to get him on a good path. Julie could do that for him. I think once he sees her karate prowess & how hot she is, he'll be smitten. It would be cool to see a humbled Silver & Daniel shake hands & be cool with each other. What a legacy of the Julie Pierce character- settle the conflict between Silver & Daniel

The writers made Karate Kid 3 watchable again. There's no reason that they can't do the same with The next Karate Kid. I'm just surprised there hasn't been any direct references to that movie yet in seasons 1-5. But I also believe there is a reason for that. My question is if they will bring back or reference more than one character from the next Karate kid?
They dropped nuggets about KK3 beginning in Season 1. They haven’t said jack shit about TNKK throughout 5 seasons. Introducing a brand new character in the final season who has never met any of the characters on this show is just awful writing
actually there is one reason first mr. miyagi is the only one who knows her if he was alive i am sure they will have to reference her and her movie mr. miyagi will talk about her but since he died there is no need to reference her,oh and i forgot to mention daniel also knows her and he trained with her before mr.miyagi passed away because he talked about how miyagi do dojo had more than one student to sam and robby in s2 ep 2 that means sam knows her too.

It’s only in fans’ fantasy land. ie bad idea (and bad writing) to introduce a brand new character in the final season of a show when there are multiple storylines that need to be appropriately wrapped up with existing characters
I've never seen the Next Karate Kid. but I didn't think Daniel was in it, or had met her. II guess it's possible she could come up in the Miyagi backstory investigation? Aside from that I don't think it makes much sense to include her, especially with this being the final season.

I agree with you. Julie Pierce is super wealthy because she married and divorced Terry Silver. She took half of everything he owns and is now known as LADY SILVER.
I have a theory that Johnny and Chozen are sparring as practice for the sensei division, Tory and Sam are sparring as practice for the girls division, and maybe Robby or Hawk or Miguel will spar for the boys division
Unpopular opinion... I liked The Next Karate Kid. Not the best but it was not bad. And did you notice in that Collier interview you showed, while Hilary was thinking, Alan chuckled and sucked in his lips like you would to keep yourself from talking?
The way Hillary Swank didn’t answer quickly also one thing I have noticed when actors are asked if they are coming back to a show, they look away and they touch their face. Hillary did that here, Joseph Quinn did the same when he was asked about returning to ST on the red carpet.
I don’t know if it will happen, but I hope Julie Pierce returns for the final season. It would be nice to see both her and Daniel interact since they were both Mr. Miyagi’s students. I think she could definitely help in training Miyagi Fang.

I can't wait to see Julie Pierce. Which part of the Cobra Kai season 6 is she going to be inn? PART 1, PART 2, or PART 3? Which ever part she is in I hope to see her and Daniel be surrogate siblings and teach the all girls division. Maybe share her grief with Tory.
My favorite moments in TNKK was in the Zen Monastery with the monks to further show the spiritual side of the Karate. And the Arrow catching that Miyagi did was poetry in motion. And i think the Dojo name of Julie should be Hiko ya karate, wich means flying arrow or Tsukamaeru ya wich means Catching Arrow
@dakentaijutsu2010 - It's a theory that Ken Cole pointed out. One of the POWs in the Vietnam flashback looks and moves like a younger Dugan. Second, Ironside doesn't need to be in "good shape" to do anything beyond delivering dialogue, which he is. He's 4 years younger than Martin Kove.

I'm just saying, while yes it's only a theory, the set-up is right there for another connection. @@FreddyKurganNimmo that's the difference between them and Dugan, they were part of the original 3, the next karate kid wasn't, it may be part of the karate kid universe, but not part of Cobra Kai though, I still say it's unlikely Dugan would ever appear, even if he were, I'll say it again, we don't know if they even know each other, let alone friends, and I stand by with what i say about that he may not be in good shape to do anything, which i think he should, I mean Martin kove is in his 70s and yet he aged gracefully and is obviously in better shape than people half his age!
To be honest, I really couldn't care less. If they decide to do it, fine. People were pushing too hard for her to be Tory's mom and it was getting annoying. Miguel's mom isn't from the original franchise. Why would Tory's mom have to be?

Honestly is it really that necessary to have julie pierce involved. She might have a 2 min scene with daniel at the cemetary where they bump into each other but that's it.
What if, Julie has her own dojo called Miagy Do? 😲 Nothing big or Daniel would of heard of it but something small in her community in Canada? 😲 Julie hears about the tournament and offers her help train the girls division 😲 Baring in mind I predicted Hawk would win the all valley way in advance 😲

Since Julie took care of a hawk in next karate kid maybe Eli knew about that. He doesn’t necessarily have to be related to Julie but maybe his mom is friends with her or maybe it’s just a coincidence and that when Eli flipped the script to become hawk maybe he just like an image of a hawk and thought it would be badass
I just could care less if the bring her back. Secondly, if they do indeed have a sensei bracket, Daniel can not compete. He proved himself when he beat silver flawlessly. If Daniel were to fight and lose, it ruins what they created at the end of season 5. If they have that tournament, count on Daniel not fighting
I would like to see julie back, and kicks kims butt, she hasn't been beaten yet, so it will kinda make sense. The big comp could have winners for a number of areas, kata, weapons and also weight classes, so you could have multile winners.

WATCHPARTY: You're right the Miyagi Verse wouldn't be the same without Julie. They redeemed KK3 when it didn't do so well so why not The Next Karate Kid? I would love to see Julie bond with Tory, I'm all for it but at the same time I feel like it might be Chozen that she bonds with & maybe convinces her to join Miyagi Do because I feel like they were setting something up between them there with their moment in S5. I would love a fight scene with Daniel & Julie, I think that would be an incredible moment for the Karate brother & sister and I definitely agree that would be one of the Epic fights that we get in Ep 1, but on separate note from that how even more EPIC would it be if we got a fight with Daniel, Chozen & Julie together? Do you think that could possibly happen?
