I really enjoyed the structure of your video. How many important points you went over, while not giving too too much away was perfect. Vocals were crisp and meshed well into each other.

We call that location Pearl Beach. Take a halfway decent anglerfish and come back with 15k pearls every time. Falling off a log easy.

I honestly don’t think I’ll ever join a public server... but maybe one day I’ll show off the village’s and stuff I’ve built around Lost Island. I’m genuinely proud of my Aztec Castle village. Which I honestly like parking my Gigas around, because it’s terrifying.

The Aztec base area in the northern jungle has the highest amount of metal nodes and the most beaver dams. Also, there is a good pvp cave with crystal nearby. If that is not enough, head to the blue obelisk where there is a lot of crystal, metal,and obsidian. It may be the best resource spot on the map.

The hill tops and mountainsides directly west of the jungle temples is my go-to metal and crystal farming location. Kite any baddies off the cliff and farm away.

How to get a head start on any map (except aberration, maybe): Start on rag, get EZ wyvern eggs, hatch them, breed them, then transfer babies off to other maps.

I'm not new but I'm no expert at ark, the 2nd base location you suggested (the castle with the bats) how do you kill all those many bats (i usually play alone) and even if you do kill all of the bats, will they eventually respawn there or does the castle stay empty if you kill them all?

Yes indeed. Lost Island is the ruler EXCEPT EXCEPT that it has crashed on me twice and at level 104 I hate losing all of my Argies and everything else. I NEED TO KNOW if this has been fixed as I download a fresh copy from Steam.

I'm trying to decide which map is best for pve.... I just love taming things!!! This map looks great, but I'm wondering if there are better ones? I'm on crystal isles atm. Thanks for the info!!

A cool pve spot is at 57.2 44.0 it’s a waterfall you can build under and is safe from carnivores and bugs there’s only herbivores and the odd arthroplura

I really want to love Lost Island but the fact that there are too many prebuilt structures and no main central base locations, it’s one of my least favorite maps. The only thing that saves it for me is the fact that all engrams can be learned on it. Valguero or even the Island or even Ab and Scorched and Extinction have way better more central base locations. My base location right now is the small island in the middle of both continents on the right of the map. The only reason I chose this is due to its proximity to Thyla spawns and it’s pretty close to every resource you need. Including dams and the oil area.

Did you know Wildcard added Dinopithecus to Valguero? I went to check that map out for a server I run and I nearly ran into a pack of em. Did the maps get TLC or something?

Jungle crouch at roughly 40 60 but almost every pvp player already knows it. it doesnt have cave damage outside aswell so you can put fat tower outside

Any other hints you could give for the location of crouch cave please????

Ark doesn't care about how tired of the grind you are :P I'll add that this spot is delicious for meat runs. 3:10 The river nearby has beaver dams too. But indeed for the metal, you have to go to the nearest mountain sadly. 5:45 Aren't they in the desert too ? They're basically spawning in more areas than the two other species. 7:10 I don't do bosses so I haven't looked for artifacts but... I lived right next to this one for 3 solid months without knowing XD I'm only now learning about it ! 7:25 Oooh that one is sneaky XD My very first time on the map after official release, I made the mistake of spawning in the easiest spawns in the north west. BIG mistake. The right spot to get started at is Boskar (east of the Green Ob). There you'll get access almost instantly to Sinomas and/or Equus, and also metal, crystal, pearls, and beaver dams. The weather is nice (a bit on the colder side by night, especially in the water), and if you feel brave enough there's a pine swamp where you can get some Achatina (admittedly I have Immersive taming, it's easier for me to do without crops). From there the Maewings are just a few clicks north once you're ready for tranqs. Sure, some of it is hostile (see also : pine swamp), but the resources there are incomparable for a headstart compared to an """easier""" spawn location. I mean you can waste your life in the north east if you like nice ruins, but Boskar is where you get things done.

Beware the seas on this map folks. Literally infested with leeds. Used to be once in a while.id encounter one, maybe only once or twice ever on ragnarok. But today alone(granted it was a long voyage) I got hit three times. Ships are my specialty tho so i typically have no trouble escaping them. Always stay near the edge of the drop-off if you value your ship. As much as I love this map, it triggers me as an elder scrolls nut that the mezo-american ruins are basically in skyrim. Just doesn't make sense. Put it in what would be black marsh! Bah. I known its not really tamriel, but I could have helped design this map.

Anyone else think the lost Isle is basically Tamriel?

I honestly don't know how Ark 2 is going to compete with how awesome this game is. I just think they are going to be too ambitious and lose the magic they made with this one.
