Yeah he *STARTS OFF* bad.

Phoenix Wright is the only character that is low, mid, and high tier. When you start the fight, he's pretty low tier, having to find "clues". Once he activates this mode, the "clues", if they are certain items, will add to his moveset, giving him poke abilities and utility. Once he hits with an Objection I'm this mode and having three good "clues" he enters Turnabout Mode. And he will sue you to death

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames he was actually a gag character.. the makers of the game gave the internet a poll on who they wanted in the game and the internet being the trolls that they are chose him. He's not a fighting character, he's just a regular lawyer but the makers decided to go through with it and somehow stuck him in a fighting game giving him a unique move set. For instance he needs to gather enough evidence before he can take you to trial like you saw him do.

The possession was so strong that it made Daredevil nearly immortal and it took street level heroes the Spider Man, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and the Punisher, along with Wolverine and the Thunderbolts to stop him and break the possession.

Most (but not all) of the "cinematic" supers are Level 3 (and vice versa). You can spot this by looking at the super meter at the bottom. If it goes from 5 to 2, you're looking at a Level 3. Storm's cinematic super is an example of one of the few that is not. Level 1 supers are like normal and special attacks in that as you keep up a combo, each hit (after the third) scales down in damage. Level 3 supers don't scale, so if you combo into one, it just adds a set amount of damage to your combo. If a timer appears above the meter (it will be very thin and yellow), you're dealing with an enhancement/power-up super. Those are on a time limit, such as Hsien-Ko hyper armor. What was supposed to be demonstrated (but they missed) was that no matter how many times Phoenix hit Hsien-Ko, she couldn't knock her down or send her into hitstun. That means that no matter what, any attack Hsien-Ko performs WILL come out, even if delayed by the opponent attacking her. Most of these also prevent the character from building super meter while active. Morrigan and her Astral Vision super is the the most notable (and by far the most hated) exception.
